Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a quick and easy card featuring the Well Defined stamp set and products from the Painted Christmas Suite! So, I’m back at it again to show you a fall themed card with the Painted Christmas Suite! This time I’m using one design from the designer series paper to make six of these fun cards! Yes, we are using pinecones again, however this is a totally different look, and using the Brushed Metallic Cardstock give them a unique look!
Use this design from the Painted Christmas 12” x 12” DSP, cutting it down into six 4” x 5 ¼” base layers and six ¾” x 4” strips:
For the card front, you will need:
1. Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and die-cut out with the small label die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Tip-since I made six of these, I first die-cut the labels and then used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment.
2. Use the next size up label die to die-cut from the Cork Specialty Paper, which will be layered under the die-cut sentiment.
3. Use the bronze Brushed Metallic Cardstock with some adhesive sheet on the back to use both small pinecone layering dies to die-cut out.
4. Cut a 7 ½” piece of the Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim.
I used glue dots to adhere the looped trim as shown, the looped trim is adhered to the back of the layered sentiment, remove the adhesive backing to adhere the layered die-cut pinecones, which are then adhered to the sentiment as shown. This piece is then adhered to the DSP base layer, which is adhered to a Soft Suede cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom, and you can stamp whatever holiday greeting you like!
Is this a Thanksgiving card or a Christmas card? Depending on which colors you use, this could be one sheet of each! I will be using these for Thanksgiving cards and since I do not have a current sentiment, I left it blank. However, I caved-in and purchased one more stamp set, Heartfelt Wishes, which I am waiting (not so) patiently for. I normally do not purchase anything else for my holiday cards once I place my final order in October, but I’ve had my eye on it and realized that I can use it for Thanksgiving and New Year’s cards!
