Hello Friend!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is featuring products from the Tutti-Frutti Suite! Sadly, all these products are on the retirement list, however, as I am writing this they are all still currently available! If you are looking for fun, bright, and peppy products, then I highly suggest you check them out by heading to my online store!

When I sat down to create this card, I chose this particular piece from the Tutti-Frutti 6” x 6” DSP Paper Stack because it was a 3” x 6” scrap piece! Yesterday I discussed how to cut and utilized every piece from a piece of 6” x 6” DSP and I was determined to use this piece today! So, another way to cut at 6” x 6” piece of DSP is to cut it in half so you have two 3” x 6” pieces and then cut 2” off that piece, so you will end up with two pieces cut at 3” x 4” and two pieces cut at 3” x 2”:

The card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”:

The base layer is Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The Burlap Background stamp is used in Lemon Lime Twist ink to stamp on the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock at an angle:

Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 2 ¾” x 1 ¾”, from the Fruit Basket stamp set, stamp the wire basket image in Sahara Sand ink, the strawberry image in Real Red ink, and the strawberry leaves image in Lemon Lime Twist ink. On a ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the hello and friend stamps in Night of Navy ink and then punch the end with the Banner Triple Punch:

To put this card together, adhere the 3” x 4” piece of DSP to the base layer, adhere the Whisper White cardstock stamped piece to the 2” x 3” piece of DSP, and then adhere this to card base:

The front sentiment is adhered with dimensionals and I added some Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Lemon Lime Twist:

This is then adhered to the card base:

The inside sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink, with the strawberry in Real Red ink and the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink:

This is such a cute and bright card to send birthday wishes with! So, if you cut a piece of 6” x 6” DSP in half (3” x 6”) and then cut 2” off those two pieces, you will be able to make two cards out of one 6” x 6” sheet! Be sure to join me tomorrow for another way to use up that DSP Paper Stack!

I hope today’s card inspires you to get creative! Please contact me if you have any questions about the products used on this or any other project. I hope you enjoyed today’s blog and thanks for stopping by!

You are the sweetest!

Today’s card is brought to you by the Tutti-Frutti Suite from the 2018 Occasions Catalog! I just cannot get enough of this suite and the cuteness you can create! When I set out to create another card from this suite, I first looked at all the paper from the 6″ x 6″ DSP stack to really get inspired, what do you think?

The card base is in Lemon Lime Twist card stock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, the base layer is in Whisper White card stock, cut at 3 ½” x 3”, and the layering DSP 3 ¼” x 2 ¾”. Using the pear outline stamp from the Fruit Basket stamp set, randomly stamp in Lemon Lime ink around the card base, then stamp the pear and stem stamps in Lemon Lime Twist ink and Soft Suede ink on the card base as well. On a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp the pear and stem stamps three times in Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Suede inks, punching out with the coordinating pear punch from the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack, and then stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink, cutting out using the 2nd smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Cut a 6” piece (or however much you would typically use) of the Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon and tie into a bow.

For the assembly, I attached the DSP to the Whisper White card stock base layer and then adhered the Oval Stitched Shape Framelit in the middle. I randomly adhered the pears with Mini Glue Dots around the Oval Stitched Shape Framelit and then adhered the Daffodil Delight bow with Mini Glue Dots in the bottom right corner. This was then adhered to the card base with dimensionals. Isn’t this such a cute, quick, and easy card to make? This would be perfect if you have several cards to make, only changing up a few things as needed.

Tutti-Frutti Hello

This quick and simple card is from the Tutti-Frutti Suite and can be used for any occasion.

The card base is in Real Red cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”. The base layer is from the Tutti-Frutti 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper, cut at 3” x 5 ½”. Using the Layering Square Framelits, cut out a piece of Night of Navy cardstock with the 2nd largest scalloped framelit and then cut out a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the 3rd largest square framelit. On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the solid bowl stamp in Sahara Sand ink and then the detailed bowl stamp in Soft Suede ink, fussy cutting the image out. The strawberry image was stamped in Real Red, then stamped again giving the lighter image, and the leaves are stamped in Garden Green ink on the darker strawberry and in Lemon-Lime Twist ink on the lighter strawberry, on scrap Whisper White cardstock, and then punched out using the coordinating punch from the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack (I cut out seven pieces). On the back of the bowl piece, place a small amount of Snail Adhesive along the top, placing the strawberries across, and then place Glue Dots on the front of the remaining strawberries at the bottom, adhering those to the back of the other strawberries making sure they stick up enough to see them.

I adhered the DSP piece to the card base and then adhered the layering squares together, tying a piece of Real Red Solid Ribbon in a bow towards the bottom. I adhered the strawberry bowl using Stampin Dimensional’s on the layered square piece, stamped “hello” in Real Red ink in the bottom left hand corner and then adhered to the DSP and card base.

This inside of the card is a piece of Whisper White cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and I used the same technique to stamp the strawberries along the bottom.I hope you enjoy making this quick and simple card!

We make a great pear

With all the snow we have been having here in Coastal Virginia, I’m ready for Spring! What better way than to get out of a cold winter funk than to create a fun, spring-like card and the Tutti-Frutti Suite is perfect! If you are looking for a complete and coordinating suite, this is for you and it even has coordinating Stampin’ Spots to take your project on the go!

For this card, the card base is in Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, the base layer is in Lemon-Lime Twist cardstock cut at 5 ¼” X 4”, and the next layer is in Whisper White cardstock cut at 5” x 3 ¾”.

To make the scenery on the Whisper White cardstock, I first started with Stampin’ Sponges and used Soft Sky ink for the sky and Lemon-Lime Twist ink for the grass. I used the tree, leaves, and grass stamps from Sheltering Tree, stamped the tree in Soft Suede ink, stamped the leaves in Lemon-Lime Twist ink and used Sponge Daubers to sponge Garden Green Ink around the outer leaves, and stamped the grass in Garden Green ink. I made the basket from a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, stamped the basket image in VersaMark ink, and then heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder, fussy cutting it out. The pineapple was stamped in Daffodil Delight and Garden Green inks, the pear was stamped in Lemon-Lime Twist and Soft Sued inks, and the strawberry and watermelon were stamped in Real Red and Garden Green inks, punching them out with the coordinating Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. I arranged the fruit in the basket and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots, adhered the basket, used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for the pineapples on the sdies, and made a small bow with the Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine, adhering with liquid glue. I wanted to give the tree a little more pop, so I used some of the Berry Burst Tutti-frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins. The sentiment is on a ½” scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Lemon-Lime Twist ink, and used the Banner Triple Punch on the end. I felt the Lemon-Lime Twist layer needed some texture, so I used the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and you can see it just peeking out underneath. I adhered all the layers together with Fast Fuse and then popped the sentiment on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
