Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is my second creation featuring the Tranquil Textures Suite from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog! This suite is a must have if you love the beach and creating underwater scenery. Growing up I was always around rivers, lakes, and the ocean and as an adult living in Coastal Virginia you can see why I am drawn to beach scenery and love creating these types of cards.
The card base is Night of Navy cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”:
The base layer is from the Tranquil Textures DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:
On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the octopus image in Night of Navy ink and cut out with the coordinating framelit:
The seagrass is cut out of Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide cardstock and the coral is cut out of Fresh Fig cardstock from the Under the Sea Framelit Dies:
I used the Night of Navy Medium Bakers Twine to create the rope:
The seagrass and coral were adhered to the DSP base layer with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and then I squeezed a thick layer of the glue in the middle and sprinkled the Tranquil Textures Sprinkles into the glue:
The sentiment is from the stamp set, which is stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Night of Navy ink, cut out using the 1 ¾” Circle Punch, and then sponged in Night of Navy ink:
To complete the card, the octopus is adhered with Mini Dimensionals, the sentiment is adhered with Dimensionals with the baker’s twine behind, and then the left end of the baker’s twine adhered with liquid glue:
