Beware of the Raven!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy Halloween card featuring The Raven stamp set and a whole lot of embossing!! Since the Jet Black Stazon pad was brought back this year in the annual catalog, this card is the perfect way to show you how to use this quick drying ink on foil sheets! For me, I prefer to use Stazon when stamping on foil or acetate sheets and don’t forget the special cleaner for this ink!

The base layer is Basic Black cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I first stamped the sentiment with Versamark at the bottom corner and heat embossed in gold:

I then stamped the feather stamp in Versamark randomly, heat embossed in gold, and then dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder:

For the raven:

1. Cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet at 3” x 3”.

2. Since the raven stamp is detailed, I used my Stamparatus to stamp on the foil sheet with Jet Black Stazon in case I missed a spot and needed to stamp again.

3. Emboss the stamped foil sheet with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then I “dragged” the stazon pad across the sheet. TIP-if you have a spot that needs to dry a little faster, lightly use your heat tool.

Adhere the stamped foil sheet to the base layer with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and then I added three small and three large black enamel dots from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes:

The base layer is then adhered to a Mango Melody cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The inside sentiment is on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and both the sentiment and feathers are heat embossed with Black Emboss Powder:

Isn’t this a fun and easy Halloween card? I tried to make this card easy to replicate for making multiples of. If you don’t have the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes, you can easily use the Gold Metallic Pearls!
