Life is beautiful with Mosaic Mood

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper combined with the Colorful Seasons and Butterfly Wishes stamp sets! I received this DSP at OnStage in April from Prize Patrol (Free DSP? Yes, please!!) and I will admit that this design is not what I would typically gravitate to (you can find the Mosaic Mood Suite on page 119 in the 2019-2020 AC), however, this really is beautiful DSP that has shiny accents on one side. I chose to pair this with the new Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon to accent and this ribbon is very easy to use.

For my base layer, I chose this design from the DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The additional pieces for the card front is a piece of textile ribbon long enough to wrap around just the front of the DSP (about 7 ½”), the sentiment stamped in Terracotta Tile ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out with the 3rdlargest Stitched Nested Labels Dies, and then the two butterflies stamped in Terracotta Tile ink and cut out with the Butterfly Duet Punch:

Now, the butterfly stamps that coordinate with the Butterfly Duet Punch are two separate cling (red rubber) stamps. So, you can either stamp them however you want on the cardstock and then punch out, or you can create a template with the punch, layer this on top of your cardstock using your Stamparatus, align the stamps in the punched-out spots, lift the stamps with the Stamparatus plate, ink, stamp the images, and then punch out:

To assemble the card front, wrap and adhere the ribbon around the middle of the DSP, adhere the stamped sentiment on top, adhere the butterflies with mini dimensionals, and then I used Gold Metallic Pearls in the corners of the stamped sentiment piece:

This is then adhered to a Terracotta Tile cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Terracotta Tile ink and the butterflies in Mint Macaron ink:

Wasn’t this an easy and awesome card to make? This just goes to show you that you can like only the DSP from a suite, but totally make it your own! What do you think of Terracotta Tile as one of the new 2019-2021 In Colors? One reason I chose the Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon is because it also coordinates with the Garden Lane DSP, so now I will get even more use out of this ribbon! Food for thought when you are trying to pick out ribbon…
