Hello and welcome to day 4 of this week’s Sale-A-Bration countdown! Today’s card will by my final creation using the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP. I know, sad face L! I really do enjoy using this paper and I could go on, but I’ve got other ideas and more Sale-A-Bration products to share! For this card, I really wanted to show the simplicity in creating a stunning card with a few simple products, including a Q-Tip!
The card base is Calypso Coral cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, and the base layer is Springtime Foils Specialty DSP cut at 4” x 5 ¼”.
When I first started coloring in the flowers with Sponge Daubers, it was to create a soft look and purposely coloring outside the lines, but the control wasn’t what I wanted, so hence a Q-Tip! I actually used Precision Tips to color in the flowers in Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral inks and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink. I really love how these turned out! I tied a piece of the Shimmer Ribbon in Calypso Coral in a bow around the DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Blossoming Basket stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink, punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch and sponged Calypso Coral ink around the edge. The DSP is adhered to the card base with Snail and then sentiment is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the ribbon.
Viola! Easy, peasy, pretty as you please! Sometimes it really is a simple card that makes you “WOW!”
Please contact me if you have any questions about the products used on this or any other project. I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by!
