Tranquil Textures Shaker Card!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun (and surprisingly easy) shaker card made with the Tranquil Texture’s Suite! I’ve been wanting to make a shaker card for a while now, so this was on today’s “must make” list!! Part of the Tranquil Textures Suite are the Tranquil Texture Sprinkles, however, I decided to use the Iridescent Sequin Assortment and the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins in Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink and used Wink of Stella on everything!!

To create this card, first start with the card base in Soft Sea Foam cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

From the Tranquil Textures DSP, cut two pieces from this design at 4” x 5 ¼” and then cut a piece of Window Sheet at 4” x 5 ¼”. To make the frame for the top piece, you can either use the largest square from the Layering Squares Framelits, or do what I did and measure ½” in on each side and then use your Stampin’ Trimmer to cut out the middle:

I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the Window Sheet to the frame (HINT-if your Window Sheet has static, you can either use your Embossing Buddy or a dryer sheet on the Window Sheet to eliminate the static):

The octopus is stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Soft Sea Foam ink, with Tranquil Tide ink sponged along the tentacles using a Sponge Dauber, and then cut out with the coordinating die from the Under the Sea Framelits. The sand dollar’s, coral, and sea grass are also from the Under the Sea Framelits in Calypso Coral, Sahara Sand, Night of Navy, Fresh Fig, and Soft Sea Foam cardstock. All pieces are brushed with Wink of Stella. I used the Iridescent Sequin Assortment and Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins in Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink for the “shaker” part of the card:

For the base DSP, I used the net stamp from Sea of Textures stamp set in Sahara Sand ink and then arranged the image pieces, making sure that they are high enough from the bottom so that the frame doesn’t cover them. After arranging the pieces, I then used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere to the DSP:

For the sequins, I used some of the adhesive backed ones first, placed the Foam Adhesive Strips along the edges, added some of the Iridescent Sequins, and then adhered the top piece (Window Sheet). In my opinion, having all the layer pieces the same size made it much easier to line them up:

I used the extra cut out pieces for the frame (except the large sand dollar in Night of Navy) and then adhered to the card base:

For the inside, I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, used the background stamp along the bottom in Soft Sea Foam ink, stamped the long seaweed stamp on the left side in Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron, and Tranquil Tide inks, and then adhered the sand dollar:

Wasn’t that easy?? Sometimes I really struggle making a Shaker Card, lining everything up and adhering can be a little I really like how the Iridescent Sequins really coordinate with the colors of this card.
