Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a lovely Thanksgiving card featuring the Christmas Season Bundle, Well Defined stamp set, and some long-time favorites from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog! This year, I decided that the Painted Christmas Suite would be my theme for Christmas cards and crafts, however, you can easily get more out of this suite outside of Christmas! Afterall, pinecones aren’t just for Christmas, they are a fall staple! So, just make a few changes on which products you use and you have a wonderful Thanksgiving card!
The base layer is Crumb Cake cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Birch Background Stamp in Cinnamon Cider ink:
For the rest of the card front, you will need:
1. I masked the bottom of the gratitude stamp and just inked the top part in Cajun Craze ink to stamp in Very Vanilla cardstock. This is then die-cut out with the second smallest layering Stitched So Sweetly Die.
2. Use the third smallest layering Stitched So Sweetly Die to die-cut from gold brushed metallic cardstock, which will be layered under the above sentiment.
3. On Crumb Cake cardstock, stamp the large pinecone background in Crumb Cake ink two times, stamp the small pinecone background once (or first step since this is a two-step stamp), stamp the detail pinecone stamp for each in Early Espresso ink (the second step stamp), and use the coordinating die to die-cut out. I then used my Wink of Stella on the Crumb Cake ink part on each pinecone.
4. Use the Sprig Punch to punch one each of Cinnamon Cider and Bumble Bee cardstocks.
5. Cut a 11 ½” piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Ribbon.
6. You will need three of the 5mm Champagne Rhinestone Jewels, not pictured.
Place a small amount of adhesive in the middle of the base layer to adhere the ribbon into a “z”, adhere the layered die-cut sentiment over the ribbon, use glue dots to adhere the layered punched sprigs to the upper corner of the sentiment, both large die-cut pinecones are adhered just under the corners on the opposite side of the sentiment, and the Champagne Rhinestones are placed as shown. This completed piece is adhered to an Early Espresso cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, mask the top of the gratitude stamp and ink the bottom in Cajun Craze ink, stamp a small pinecone in the bottom corner in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks, using Wink of Stella on the Crumb Cake ink:
Isn’t this a wonderful Thanksgiving card? I thought about this after the fact, but you could also emboss the base layer with the Bark 3D Folder! This just goes to show you how versatile your stamps and dies can be, which is great to get more use out of!
