Hello and welcome to today’s cards, which are my final two alternatives for the June 2019 Paper Pumpkin, A Little Smile! This kit has been so much fun creating alternative card idea’s and with all the supplies I have left over, I could definitely keep making more! I really like how this kit can coordinate with the Under the Sea dies and even the Sea of Textures stamp set, so you know that I just had to make one of my alternatives an underwater scenery!!
For card #1 on the right, this is very quick and easy to make with no stamping, except for the sentiment!
You will first start with two of the palm trees, this card front design from the kit (trimming off the back piece), a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock to cut out the Adirondack chair die with, and a 4” x 5 ¼” of Old Olive vellum cardstock from the Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock, embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder (this is the old version, the new 3D folder is not available yet):

I used glue dots to adhere the palm trees to the card front piece and then cut two mini dimensionals in half to adhere the Adirondack chair:

This piece is then adhered to the embossed vellum cardstock with dimensionals and then adhered to a Thick Whisper White cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. Tip-if you happen to have some of those Sizzix adhesive sheets still, you can cut four squares to use in the corners to adhere the vellum to the cardstock:

For the inside, I left the sentiment blank, but adhered one sand dollar and one starfish in the bottom corners:

For card #2 on the left, cut a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼” and then use the school of fish die from Under the Sea, flipping the cardstock over the cut out the fish going in the opposite direction. I then embossed with the Seaside TIEF, which is now retired:

Addtionally for the card front, you will need to cut out the net die with Sahara Sand cardstock, use Pretty Peacock cardstock to cut out two seagrasses, and then the coral, starfish, and sand dollar elements from the kit:

I used my fine tip glue pen to adhere part of the next to the base layer and trimmed off the excess with paper snips:

Still using the fine tip glue pen, adhere the coral, starfish, sand dollar, and seagrasses along the bottom, adhere the other starfish and sand dollar to make it appear like they are floating, and this completed piece is adhered to a Night of Navy cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside is a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock and the sand dollar and starfish are stamped in Sahara Sand ink, stamping off first:

More fun cards make with this super cute kit!! I seriously could go on, but it’s time to get back to those new catalog products!! I might just keep this kit handy and if another idea pops in, I’ll post those on my Facebook page!
