Sunny Day

Hello and welcome to today’s card which features the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set, Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies, and Embossing Paste, using the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks! Now, before I get started showing you how to make this card, I have some creative advice to share: if at first you don’t succeed, try again, and again, and again…For some reason when I was trying to stamp the rainbow using my Stamparatus, it was not working! I would get towards the end and something would happen and I would have to start over! Rather than scrapping the whole project, I started over from the inside and worked my way out when stamping the rainbow. So just remember with multiple step stamping, that if one way does not work for you, try another!

The card base is Tempting Turquoise cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½:

I placed the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks on the card front and then used some painter’s tape on the edge to secure the mask so it would not move while I was spreading the Embossing Paste:

When done, carefully remove the painters tape and I had a container with warm soapy water nearby for the mask, Silicone Mat, and Palette Knives to soak. The card base was then set aside to dry:

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3” x 4 ¼”, stamp the rainbow layers in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clove, Blueberry Bushel, and Gorgeous Grape inks:

Then use the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out:

The sun is stamped in Pineapple Punch ink on Whisper White cardstock, cut out with the coordinating die, and then use the cloud die to cut out two pieces from Tempting Turquoise cardstock and one piece from Whisper White cardstock:

The scalloped oval is adhered to the card base with dimensionals and the turquoise clouds are adhered on top with Snail:

The sentiment is heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder on the white cloud and then I used dimensionals to adhere the cloud and the sun:

I wanted to do something different for the inside sentiment, so I cut ½” x 5 ¼” strips in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, and Gorgeous Grape cardstocks:

These are adhered to the inside piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sun is stamped in Pineapple Punch ink and the sentiment is stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink:

This is what it looks like on the inside, so if this is not enough room for you to write your personal note, you could always cut another piece of Whisper White cardstock and either adhere that to the inside of the card (top or bottom) or to the back of the card:
