Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the new Perennial Essence suite from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! This suite is just stunning!! The suite includes the Floral Essence stamp set, Perennial Flower Punch, Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, Perennial Essence 12” x 12” vellum cardstock (Old Olive, Petal Pink, and So Saffron colored vellum sheets!!), Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon, and Perennial Essence Floral Centers…aaaannnd there is a leaf stamp that coordinates with the Leaf Punch!! If you need some card and craft product updating, I highly recommend you consider this suite! It is very versatile, the DSP is gorgeous, maybe just add a sentiment set for any occasion, and you are set. Did I mention the paper is gorgeous?? Lol It really does look like it is hand painted!

When I sat down to create a card with this suite, I chose to keep it “simple” and tired not to take away from the DSP, because this is the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP I chose to use:

To give you a little sampling of the suite, I stamped the petal on a piece of Petal Pink Vellum cardstock, first inking the stamp in Versamark ink and then Blackberry Bliss ink, heat embossing with Clear Emboss Powder, and punching out with the flower punch. I stamped the leaf stamp on the Old Olive Vellum cardstock in Versamark, heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder, and punched out with the Leaf Punch. You will also need one of the Perennial Essence Flower Centers and enough Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon to tie around the DSP into a bow:

While Pretty Peacock is not a coordinating color listed on the DSP, I thought it paired beautifully for the 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, cardstock card base. I tied the ribbon around the center of the DSP into a bow (this ribbon is very easy to manipulate), and then adhered to the card base:

To assemble the flower, I used glue dots to adhere the petal layers together, adhered the flower center (it is self-adhesive), and used glue dots to adhere the leaves to the back of the flower:

This completed flower is then adhered to the ribbon with glue dots to complete the card front:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink, stamp the flower in Blackberry Bliss ink, and stamp the flower center in So Saffron ink:

So, what do you think of this suite?? It has a lot to offer and so many ways to be creative! Here is the make and take from OnStage to give you another sample of the suite:
