For your new home!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and fun card made with the Delightful Day Bundle! Recently, my beautiful mother-in-law came out to visit for a couple of weeks and her visit wouldn’t be complete without making at least one card! For her first week, we spent it in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with family and friends and then the second week we spent time in my craft room sharing tips, tricks, product information, and storage ideas! Since she had a special request to make a card for a new home owner, this was the perfect opportunity for her to use some of the new products from the annual catalog. I designed this card for her to show that you can use just a few products to make a cute and easy card in a snap!

The base layer is this design from the Garden Lane DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. A Pearlized Doily.

2. Enough Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon to tie a bow around the DSP.

3. A scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the leaves and stem stamp in Garden Green ink, stamp the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink, and punch out with the Starburst Punch.

4. Cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock at 1” x 2 ¾”, use the Delightful Tag Topper to punch both ends, and stamp the sentiment in Garden Green ink.

Adhere the stamped starburst cardstock to the pearlized doily and then adhere this piece to the DSP base layer:

Adhere the tag sentiment along the bottom of the doily with dimensionals and then tie the metallic edge ribbon into a bow in between the sentiment and the edge of the DSP. Note-I just cut a piece of ribbon long enough to go around the front and around the edge of the backside, tied a bow separately, and then adhered the bow with a glue dot:

This completed card front is then adhered to a Garden Green cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The inside sentiment is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment is stamped in Garden Green ink, and I adhered a ¾” x 4” piece of DSP (same design as the card front) along the bottom with snail:

Isn’t this a super cute card?? You can always step this card up a bit with maybe some metallic thread, pearls, or even rhinestones! Don’t forget that you can also color those pearls and rhinestones with Stampin’ Blends to color coordinate!!

Add a little sparkle to Floral Essence!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features soft colors and a little added sparkle! There are so many ways to add a little sparkle to your cards and crafts, but using glimmer paper is the easiest no matter if you use a punch or a die! I paired the Sparkle Glimmer Paper with the Perennial Essence Suite to create this easy card for any occasion.

The base layer is this design from the Perennial Essence DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front elements, you will need a Pearlized Doily, 12” of the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, enough of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper to punch out the Starburst Punch and the ½” Circle Punch, and 3 of the Perennial Flower Punch from the Petal Pink Vellum cardstock with the flower heat embossed in White Emboss Powder, coloring the back with the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend:

To create the flower, stamp and heat emboss in white the flower stamp on the smooth side of the Petal Pink Vellum cardstock, then punch out with the coordinating punch. I used the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends to color in the flower petals a little bit and punched the center out of one with the ½” Circle Punch. I adhered the first two flower petals together with liquid glue and then used glue dots to adhere the single petals around the back. This will give your flower a fuller look without the bulk:

Arrange the organdy ribbon across the base layer DSP, adhering with liquid glue across the middle of the ribbon to the DSP:

Adhere the punched glimmer paper to the doily and then use liquid glue to adhere to the middle of the ribbon, adhere the ½” circle to the flower, and the completed flower to the glimmer paper:

This completed piece is adhered to a Rococo Rose cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”and scored at 5 ½”, and I decided to add three of the silver metallic pearls to the flower middle:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment and flower are stamped in Rococo Rose ink, the flower center is stamped in Petal Pink with a little Wink of Stella added, and the flower is colored in with Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends:

Isn’t this a sweet and sparkle card?? There is enough room on the card front to add a sentiment if you want to change it up a bit to make it a little more personal! While the coordinating colors for DSP is listed on the back, don’t be afraid to find another coordinating color, like I did with Rococo Rose!!

Smile when it’s your time to shine!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a great card combining the Daisy Lane stamp set and Garden Lane Designer Series Paper! This DSP is perfect when you want a simple card with little stamping. I chose to use Mossy Meadow as my card base because I felt it really made the other colors in the DSP “pop” and I was able to create color coordinating ribbon with Stampin’ Blends.

The base layer is this design from the Garden Lane DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

You will also need for the card front a Pearlized Doily, the sentiment heat embossed in silver on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the smallest Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut out with the largest Layering Square Framelits and then embossed with the Tufted DTIEF, and enough Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon to tie into a bow, colored with the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend Pen:

I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the doily to the embossed square, turned it 90 degrees to adhere the sentiment to the middle, and then adhered this to the DSP base layer with dimensionals:

I then tied the ribbon into a bow around the bottom of the DSP and then adhered to the Mossy Meadow cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½” (it is easier for me to color a couple pieces of ribbon, tie one into a bow, adhere the other piece around the front of the DSP, and then adhere the bow with a glue dot):

The inside sentiment is on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock in Mossy Meadow ink, the flowers are first stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink and then I used a Sponge Dauber with Mossy Meadow ink to color the middle, and I adhered a ½” x 4” piece of the same DSP design as the front along the bottom:

Wasn’t this a fun and easy card to make? To me, this DSP is perfect for using sentiment stamps alone with it and pairs easily with Whisper White and just about any of the Neutrals for your card base layer. This is such a simple and easy card layout that you could use with any designer series paper.

Incredible Like You with Nature’s Poem DSP

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy alternative card with the Incredible Like You stamp set, which coordinate with the Incredible Like You Project Kit. The kit and stamp set can be found on page 21 in the Occasions Catalog and the kit creates 16 beautiful cards, has 16 envelopes, and a gorgeous storage envelope! So, you’ve created all the cards and you are now left with the stamp set…now what? Keep on creating! Lol I really wanted to make a card with Tranquil Tide, need to give the 2017-2019 InColors some love before they retire, so I chose Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam to color coordinate to give this card a soft and subtle look.

The base layer is this design from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the rest of the card front, you will need a Pearlized Doily, enough Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon to tie into a bow around the DSP, and a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock to stamp the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink and the flowers in Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam ink, punching out with the Tailored Tag Punch:

You will tie the ribbon around the DSP into a bow or if you are like me, adhere enough ribbon to go around the front and then glue dot the bow on, and then use some Snail around the middle of the doily to adhere on top of the ribbon and DSP. I adhered the sentiment on top of the doily and then added three of the largest Pearl Basic Jewels:

This is then adhered to the card base, which is Tranquil Tide cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink, and the use the three-dot stamp to stamp in Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam inks to create a background behind the sentiment:

Wasn’t that a quick and easy alternative card to make with the stamp set?? The great thing about the project kits is that it gives you what you need to make the cards, aside from the stamp set and an ink pad (or two), and this is so awesome if you are just starting out making cards!

Wondering what specials are going on?? Current specials are listed to the right!!
