Hello and welcome to today’s card, which, unlike the title, is a quick and easy card from the Peaceful Poppies Suite! Seriously, try saying the title three times fast! Lol I really hope that both of these stamp sets and coordinating dies carry over into the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, I just love how they all coordinate so beautifully together! But for today’s card, I thought I would show you a quick and easy card to make with these two bundles and that wonderful (but forgotten about) Shimmery White Cardstock!
The base layer is Shimmery White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I first started by stamping the large poppy stamp in Memento ink (start in the middle and work your way out and around), stamped the single leaf stamp in Memento ink in areas that I felt needed a little fill in, and then used the large splatter stamp in Poppy Parade ink on the poppies:
For the rest of the card front, you will need:
1. Use the swirly/circle die to cut out of Basic Black cardstock.
2. Peaceful Poppies Sequins, I used only the Black and dark Poppy Parade ones.
3. Stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink on Shimmery White cardstock and punch out with the 2” Circle Punch.
4. Use the flower bud die to cut out two pieces from Poppy Parade cardstock and the two small leaf dies to cut out of Basic Black cardstock.
I adhered the punched circle sentiment piece to the die cut swirly/circle die cut piece, adhered the flower bud to the leaves, and then adhered those on the sentiment piece. I tried to make it look like the flower buds were a part of the swirly/circle die cut piece:
This sentiment piece is adhered to the stamped base layer with dimensionals and then I used my Take Your Pick tool to pick up a sequin, place it on a glue dot, and then place the sequin on the cardstock. If you have a little bit of the glue dot sticking out, use the piercing end to kind of roll, or fold, the glue dot under the sequin:
This completed piece is adhered to a Basic Black cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the flower in Memento ink and stamp the sentiment and small splatter stamp in Poppy Parade ink:
Super quick and easy to make! You can easily make several of these cards, just change the color from Poppy Parade and use the clear, black, and/or gold sequins. You could even use the Iridescent Sequins or Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins to coordinate your pop of color!
