Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a quick and easy card featuring the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle with the new Pattern Party 12” x 12” DSP and Basic Borders Dies! I figured since I already had the DSP and dies out, why not make a card and show you two of these new products from the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalog? I almost made something different with the Inspired Thoughts Bundle, but I ultimately decided to pair the DSP with the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle for this fun and bright birthday card!
The base layer is this design from the Pattern Party DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and I used the angle border die, lining up in the middle and about a 1” up from the bottom to die cut. The top piece will be used for the card front:

For the card front, you will need:
1. Using the streamer die from the Birthday Chick Dies, cut one each from Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, and Melon Mambo cardstocks.
2. Stamp the chicken with the cupcake stamp on Basic White cardstock with Memento ink, color the body with Bronze Stampin’ Blends, the feet and beak with Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends, and the “hair” and tail with Light Bermuda Bay, Light Melon Mambo, Light Granny Apple Green, and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The cupcake is colored with Dark Crumb Cake, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Granny Apple Green, and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. This is then die-cut out with the coordinating die.
3. Use the happy birthday die to die-cut from Thick Basic White cardstock two times and one time from the bottom left-over piece DSP from the base layer. These will be adhered layered together with the DSP on top.

I used liquid glue to adhere the DSP base layer to a Thick Whisper White cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”, and the die-cut sentiment as shown:

The streamers are adhered along the top of the DSP and the die-cut chicken is adhered with mini dimensionals, as shown:

For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, adhere a ¾” x 4” strip of the DSP along the bottom, and the die-cut chick is stamped on Basic White cardstock in Memento ink, colored in with Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Melon Mambo, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Granny Apple Green, and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then die-cutting out with the coordinating die to adhere to the DSP strip as shown:

OMG! I love the new Pattern Party DSP!! If you notice the stripes in the DSP have light and dark stripes, I chose the dark stripes, which are really bright colors, to tie into the DSP! If you wanted to make a softer version, then you could use Petal Pink, Pale Papaya, Pool Party, and Pear Pizzazz, but I love how the bright colors really pop on this card!
