Be strong

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Nature’s Poem Suite, located on pages 142-144 in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. This is a great card that is quick and simple to make AND uses that leftover Designer Series Paper! I have some 3” x 3” squares left over from the card swap I participated in, so this is what I started with to create this card. If you have multiple cards that you need to make, cutting your Designer Series Paper into smaller pieces will also make it go farther!

The card base is Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. The card front is embossed using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

From the Nature’s Twine, I used a piece of Crumb Cake and Blackberry Bliss twine, which I tied in a knot and frayed the ends:

I had this piece of designer series paper from Nature’s Poem DSP, 3” x 3”. Stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I used Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Markers to color the tree image from the Rooted in Nature stamp set and cut out with the coordinating framelit from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies:

The tree is adhered to the DSP and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals. I placed some of the dimensionals around the twine to keep that in place:

The sentiment from this stamp set is stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock in Blackberry Bliss ink and then cut out:

The sentiments are adhered on the card front with Mini Dimensionals:

The inside sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink and the leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede inks, stamping off on a scrap piece of paper first:

Wasn’t that quick and easy?? Not sure if there is enough twine to make 11 cards, but maybe I should’ve made this for my card swap! lol
