Hello and welcome to my two day Paper Pumpkin special, featuring May 2018 Manly Moments! Yesterday I shared what was in the kit and the two cards from the instructions, but today I am sharing the FOUR alternatives that I made! You know it’s an awesome Paper Pumpkin when the alternative ideas flow!!
For my first alternative, I changed around the die-cut stickers and the laser-cut element. The rest of the card is made using the Lily Pad Lake stamp set and the Lakeside Framelits Dies, the sailboats are colored in with Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Markers, and the sun is in So Saffron ink. The inside is stamped in Soft Seafoam and Gray Granite inks:
My second alternative is using the trifold card from the kit, the end pieces are cut off for the front of the card, the leftover Whisper White cardstock is used for the inside, and the card base is in Crumb Cake cardstock. I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set, Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies, Nature’s Twine in Grapefruit Grove, and Garden Green, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake inks:
My third alternative is similar to the above, however I trimmed the end pieces from the trifold card to equal 4” x 5 ¼”, a strip of Silver Foil (1/2” x 4”) and adhered to a 4 ¼” x 11” Blackberry Bliss cardstock base. The white foil die cut is colored in Sahara Sand ink with a Sponge Brayer, the sentiment is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink, the leaves are from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Gray Granite ink on Whisper White cardstock, punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch and the elements are from the stamp set and the coordinating framelits, with the bow from Nature’s Twine. The inside is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Gray Granite inks:
My four alternative uses the Waterfront stamp set, which will be available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog if you missed it from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. I cut the Crumb Cake die-cut sticker in half, the top is used for the mountains and the bottom is used for the shoreline. The mountains from the stamp set is stamped in Early Espresso ink, the water is stamped and sponged in Soft Sea Foam ink, the trees and the houses are stamped in Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso inks (fussy cut out), the clouds are heat embossed in White Embossing Powder and the sun is stamped in So Saffron and Versamark inks, heat embossed in Clear Embossing Powder. The inside is stamped in Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso inks:
Here is all four of them up close, I love how you can use the basics from this kit and incorporate other stamps and products to create something new!!
