Heat embossing with All Wired Up!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and easy heat embossing card with the All Wired Up background stamp and Rooted in Nature stamp set! When I first say the All Wired Up stamp in the new annual catalog, I just had to have it! I have a few ideas for this background stamp, but I thought my first card would be to heat emboss and I just love the Copper and Terracotta Tile combination!

The base layer is Terracotta Tile cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I actually used my Stamparatus to stamp onto the cardstock, then this way if I didn’t get a part of the stamp inked up very well with the VersaMark stamp, I was easily able to ink and stamp again. I sprinkled Copper Emboss Powder and set with my heat tool:

The rest of the card front is very simple, one of the Leaf Trinkets in Copper, the Crumb Cake twine, the sentiment heat embossed in Copper on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out with the “square rectangle” from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits, and the tree is inked with a sponge dauber in Mossy Meadow ink and the trunk is with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits:

I used enough of the twine to twist around the back of the oval tree piece, adhering with snail, and then placing dimensionals on top to keep in place and adhere to the embossed base layer. The copper leaf is adhered with glue dots to the sentiment and then this is adhered to the corner of the embossed base layer:

This completed piece is adhered to a Crumb Cake cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside sentiment is on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, in Terracotta Tile ink, the small leaf is also in Terracotta Tile ink, and the large leaf is in Crumb Cake ink, each leaf stamped three times so you have from dark to light images:

Pretty quick and easy to make! I can tell that Terracotta Tile is going to be a new fall favorite! This is a fun alternative card to make for the Rooted in Nature stamp set and if you were lucky to get the Home to Roost stamp set from this year’s Sale-A-Bration, this would pair perfectly with it too!!
