One of a Kind

Hello and welcome to another card created with the Myths & Magic Suite this week! If you have not seen the Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper, you really need to check it out! Even if you do not have the coordinating stamp set and framelit dies, you can easily create an awesome card with just the DSP, as it is embossed with glitter somewhere in the scenery on one of the sides and you can easily fussy cut an image out. Today’s card was inspired by a card I made last year using the Seaside Shore stamp set and the (now retired) By the Shore DSP. Since I had an idea in mind, this was so simple and easy to make!

The card base is in Thick Whisper White card stock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, and the base layer is from the Myths & Magic Specialty DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”.

First, start with the largest Layering Circles Framelits and cut out the DSP and a Window Sheet (if you find your Window Sheet has static, rubbing it with a dryer sheet will take care of this!). Next, use the largest and the 2nd largest Layering Circles Framelits and the label framelit from the Magical Framelits Dies on a piece of light green Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper. The seahorses are stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock in Memento Ink, colored with the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers, and then cut out with the coordinating framelit. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock with Lemon Lime Twist ink and Old Olive ink sponged along the outskirts with a Sponge Dauber and then cut out with the coordinating framelit die.

To put the card together, adhere the base layer to the card stock, adhere the circle DSP on top, glue the glimmer circle to the window sheet, then adhere with Foam Adhesive strips. You may have to play around with it to get the foam strip not to show so much. The glimmer banner piece is cut in half and adhered to the back of the sentiment so it is poking out on the top and bottom, then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the seahorses are adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some Clear Epoxy Shapes to make it look like water droplets. This could easily be turned into a shaker card by adding some sequins!
