Fun baby card with Animal Outing

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and cute baby card using the eclipse technique! This is a quick and easy card to make and using the Animal Outing stamp set and the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper. If you have the Large Letter Framelits, these work perfectly with this technique!

To start, I used this design from the Animal Expedition DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

To line up the framelits, I first started with the B and the Y on the ends and used my grid paper and a ruler to make sure I lined them across the DSP. I then lined up and spaced the B and the A in the middle. To help keep the dies in place, I used small Post-It Notes:

I then adhered the DSP to a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. TIP-I used liquid glue to allow some “wiggle room” to line up the papers:

To pop the letters up, I used mini dimensionals and here is how I placed them:

After adhering the letters, I tied a piece of Call Me Clover Grosgrain into a bow:

This piece is then adhered to a Call Me Clover cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I added three of the smallest Rhinestone Gems to the ribbon:

The inside sentiment is on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock and the sentiment is stamped in Call Me Clover ink. The kangaroo is stamped in Memento ink, colored in with the Light Crumb Cake and Bronze Stampin Blends, with the koala colored in with the Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. I used Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to color the “shadow” under the kangaroo and to color in the koala’s nose:

Fun and easy card, right?? I just love the Animal Outing Suite (page 27 in the AC) and making a baby card is so easy! If you don’t have the Large Letter Framelits, you should definitely consider them! Not only are they perfect for cards, but also for scrapbooking!!
