The Gang's All Meer to Celebrate You!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a super cute and fun birthday card featuring The Gang’s All Meer stamp set and Metallic Baker’s Twine from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration Catalog! You can earn each of these items from the SAB Catalog with a qualifying product purchase, but why not combine them to make a fun card?? These little guys are super cute and so easy to color with your Stampin’ Blends! Since this is a “group”, I thought the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays would work perfectly!

The base layer is Basic Black cardstock, cut at 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”, and this design from the Birthday Bonanza DSP, cut at 3” x 4”, is layered on top:

For the card front:

1. On a ½” strip of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink and use the Banner Triple Punch to punch the end.

2. Use the Bermuda Bay metallic twine from the combo pack, measure three 16” pieces, and tie into a bow.

3. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2” x 3”, stamp the Meer cats in Early Espresso ink, color the ground with Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends and shade under the Meer cats with Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends, color the sky with Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, and color the Meer cats with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, use the Dark Crumb Cake to create a “shadow” on the lines of each cat.

Adhere the three layers together:

This is adhered to a Bermuda Bay cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”, the sentiment is adhered with mini dimensionals, and adhere the bow with glue dots:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, and adhere a 1” strip of coordinating DSP along the bottom:

Isn’t this a quick and fun card? You can easily substitute the inside sentiment with something other than a birthday sentiment. This would also make a great “from the group” birthday card for coworkers, a family member, etc. This is also another quick and easy card that you can make multiples of and add your sentiment later!

It's a Birthday Bonanza!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to make this super cute birthday card! This designer series paper is part of the Birthday Bonanza Suite from the 2020 Mini Catalog! Who wouldn’t want a super cute, bright, and cheerful card for their birthday?? As an added bonus, I also used the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (this is carrying over from the Holiday Catalog) to give the balloons some texture and was also able to incorporate the Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequin Combo Pack from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog!

The base layer for this card is this design from the Birthday Bonanza DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the rest of the card front, you will need:

1. Use the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out of coordinating cardstock and emboss with the Coastal Weave and Hammered Metal 3D EF. I used Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana cardstock.

2. Use the Metallic Baker’s Twine to tie to the end of the balloons.

3. Use whatever color/size combo of sequins.

4. Stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the smallest layering Stitched Rectangles Die.

I first adhered three of the balloons with glue dots to the DSP:

Then adhere the other two balloons and sentiment with dimensionals, making sure the baker’s twine is behind the sentiment and trimming off the excess baker’s twine:

I used glue dots to adhere the bigger sequins and the fine tip glue pen to adhere the small sequin on the corner of the sentiment. This is adhered to a Bermuda Bay cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, and adhere a ¾” strip of DSP along the bottom:

Isn’t this a super cute card?? If you missed this suite or maybe thought it wasn’t for you, give it a second look! If you are looking for some cute birthday DSP, pairing it with items you may already have is a fun way to change up your cards! The Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequins Combo coordinate with the Lily Impressions DSP, but as you can see, you just might find another DSP to coordinate it with-just like I did with the Birthday Bonanza DSP! All items from the 2020 Mini and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs will be available for customers starting January 3rd!

Glitzy Birthday Card!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and fun birthday card with lots of glitz! In this year’s Holiday Catalog, Stampin’ Up! introduced metallic ink pads, Golden Glitz, Silvery Shimmer, and Celestial Copper, and I was ecstatic!  This now means that you don’t have to heat emboss gold, copper, or silver to your projects! Don’t get me wrong, I love heat embossing, but let’s face it, it can be, well, messy….if you’ve ever dumped a container out on your desk or floor, you know what I mean! Who wouldn’t love to receive a birthday card that’s gold and glitzy??

You will start with a base layer of Rococo Rose cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, embossed with the Tin Tile 3D Folder, and I lightly “dragged” the Golden Glitz Metallic ink across the raised side of the embossed cardstock. TIP-save time by using your heat tool to dry the ink:

For the card front:

1. On Crushed Curry cardstock, stamp the medium daisy stamp with Golden Glitz Metallic in three times and punch out with the coordinating punch.

2. Stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays on Very Vanilla cardstock in Rococo Rose ink and cut out with the third smallest Stitched Nested Labels die.

3. Use the fourth smallest Stitched Nested Labels die to cut out a layer piece for the sentiment from Early Espresso cardstock:

Adhere the stitched labels layers together and adhere to the card front. Use your bone folder to curl the edges of the daisy pieces, use liquid glue to adhere the layers together, slightly staggering, use three of the smallest Gold Glitter Enamel Dots for the center, and use a dimensional to adhere to the base layer, next to the sentiment piece:

This completed piece is adhered to a Early Espresso cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside sentiment, cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, the sentiment is stamped in Rococo Rose ink and the daffodils are stamped along the bottom in Golden Glitz Metallic ink:

Isn’t this a fun and glitzy card?? I really love how the gold metallic ink coordinates with these colors! If you are into heat embossing, then I highly suggest these metallic ink pads, just don’t forget that they take a little bit to dry, but this can be sped along with your heat tool!

Fun and bright birthday card!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and quick birthday card featuring Itty Bitty Birthdays and Birthday Backgrounds stamp sets! What I love about the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set is that you have a variety of sentiments that you can easily coordinate with other products to create a fun birthday card. But, today I set out to make a quick card that you can easily make in a few minutes or make several of and just change the colors to have a stack on hand!

The base layer is Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”and I chose four of the sentiments to create the background. I first stamped the sentiment in Pineapple Punch ink and then layered the sentiment on top in either Blueberry Bushel or Granny Apple Green inks. These are stamped slightly off, so there is no need to worry about lining them up just right:

For the rest of the card front you will need:

1. Granny Apple Green cardstock cut at 3” x 3”.

2. Whisper White cardstock cut at 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” to layer on top of the Granny Apple Green cardstock. The background is created by stamping the streamers in Granny Apple Green and confetti in Pineapple Punch inks.

3. Cut a piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock with the fourth smallest Stitched Nested Labels Die.

4. Stamp the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock in Blueberry Bushel ink and cut out with the third smallest Stitched Nested Labels Die. This will be layered on top of the Pineapple Punch cardstock piece.

5. Two of the silver Candle Embellishments.

Adhere the two layering square pieces together and then adhere to the stamped base cardstock:

Adhere the two stitched nested pieces together and then adhere in the middle of the square pieces with dimensionals:

This completed piece is then adhered to a Blueberry Bushel cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. Then adhere the two Candle Embellishments:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink, the streamers are in Granny Apple Green ink, and the confetti is in Pineapple Punch ink:

Very quick and very easy! I know that some can “struggle” to make a more masculine card, but if you just use a basic stamp set and bright colors, you have a masculine type card. If you do not have the Stitched Nested Labels Dies, you can easily use a punch, or even just cut the sentiment and layering cardstock like I did with the square layering pieces. The added Candle Embellishments give it just that little added touch or you can also use adhesive backed sequins or enamel dots instead.

Time to celebrate!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and light celebratory card made with a few products that you may not have thought to combine! I just love how you can create whatever color flowers you want with the Floral Essence stamp set, so combining them with the Garden Lane DSP was so easy! I also gave the leaves a different look by stamping them in Frost White Shimmer Paint before punching them out!

The base layer is this design from the Garden Lane DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front you will need:

1. Two big and two small flowers stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink, the centers stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, and fussy cut out.

2. The sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a 1” x 4” piece of Whisper White cardstock, one end punched with the Delightful Tag Topper punch and the other end with the Banner Triple Punch.

3. Cut a 1 ½” x 4 ¼” piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock with both ends punched the same as the sentiment piece to layer underneath.

4. Stamp the leaf on Mossy Meadow cardstock five times with Frost White Shimmer Paint, let dry, and punch out with the coordinating punch. Tip-use a craft sheet to pour a drop of the shimmer paint (it’s a big drop) and then lightly tap the stamp to get the paint on it and stamp off before stamping on cardstock to get any excess paint off. I wiped the stamp with a baby wipe and ran under water to rinse, then cleaned as normal:

To assemble:

1. Adhere the layered sentiment piece to the middle of the DSP base layer.

2. Adhere one of the big flowers with two of the leaves to the top corner of the sentiment and then adhere one leave to the small flower, adhering this with a dimensional next to the big flower.

3. Adhere the other big flower with one leaf to the bottom corner of the sentiment and adhere the other small flower with the leaf below the big flower with a dimensional:

This completed piece is adhered to a Sahara Sand cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I decided to add some Wink of Stella to the flower centers, it’s a little hard to see it:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, and adhere a ½” x 5 ¼” strip of coordinating DSP along the bottom:

I just love how the leaves look on the cardstock stamped in shimmer paint! If the shimmer paint is taking a bit to dry, you can always help it along with your heat tool, just be careful! This card really is versatile, can be used for any celebration!

It’s your day with Daisy Lane!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, that is a fun birthday card made with the Daisy Lane and Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set! When I set out to create this card, I already had an idea about what I wanted to do with the daisy and leaves, then thought combining the All Wired Up background stamp and the Corrugated Embossing Folder would be perfect! I also decided to go with more fall-like colors since Fall is right around the corner!

The base layer is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped with All Wired Up in Early Espresso ink, and I used my Stamparatus to help getting that completed look as in the past I’ve missed a spot or two. The next layer is Calypso Coral cardstock, cut at 3” x 4”, and embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder:

Additionally, you will need Very Vanilla cardstock to stamp the large daisy in Calypso Coral ink two times, punch those out and two more that are blank, stamp the leaves four times in Old Olive ink and fussy cut out, stamp the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink and punch out with the 1 1/8” Scallop Punch, layer Gold Foil under the sentiment with the 1 3/8” Scallop Punch, and then one of the Perennial Essence Centers for the daisy:

To assemble:

1. Adhere two of the leaves together at the top and two at the bottom to create the base for the daisy.

2. Adhere all four daisy pieces together with liquid glue, the two stamped daisies on top and the two blank pieces on the bottom, and then the floral center. Adhere the daisy on top of the leaves.

3. Adhere the corrugated cardstock to the base layer.

4. Adhere the daisy piece with liquid glue to the corrugated cardstock and then adhere the sentiment with a dimensional.

This completed piece is adhere to an Early Espresso cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The inside is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink, the stem is stamped in Old Olive ink, and the daisy is stamped in Daffodil Delight ink with Calypso Coral sponged on around the edges with Calypso Coral ink:

Don’t you just love the All Wired Up background stamp?? This can give your card a totally different look! I really like how the strip of corrugated cardstock accents this card so nicely!

Wishing you a Delightful Birthday!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and sweet birthday card using three different stamp sets! Sometimes card and craft making can be a little like baking, you add a little bit of this stamp set, a little bit of that stamp set, and then top if off with a fun stamp set! Now you have your own recipe for a super cute card! Lol I will also show you a little trick to create a custom size label with the Stitched Nested Labels!

Your base layer for this card is this design from the Mosaic Mood DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front you will need:

1. Enough Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon to tie into a bow around the base layer DSP.

2. Three of the small butterflies from Butterfly Gala, stamp the solid background butterfly in Blushing Bride ink on Whisper White cardstock, stamp the outline and body in Terracotta ink, and then punch out with the Butterfly Duet Punch.

3. Stamp the sentiment in Terracotta Tile ink on Whisper White cardstock, cut out with the third largest Stitched Nested Label (see below for tip on custom cut down) and then cut out a layering piece in Blushing Bride cardstock with the second largest Stitched Nested Label.

4. To create a “custom” label, simply adjust the size by lining up the holes on the side, they align easily, and then use a piece of tape or sticky note to keep it in place. I cut out the Blushing Bride layer and then used the sentiment as a guide as to where is should be cut down to:

To assemble the card front, tie the ribbon into a bow, adhere the layered sentiment with dimensionals, adhere one of the butterflies to the sentiment and the other two with mini dimensionals to the DSP:

This completed piece is adhered to a Garden Green cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I decided to use three of the small Terracotta Tile Faceted Dots on the layered sentiment piece:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Garden Green ink, and adhere a ¾” x 4” piece of cardstock along the bottom, the same that you used on the front:

So, what do you think about my “recipe” to make this card?? While having a stamp set with coordinating DSP is fun and easy, change things up by using different stamp sets with the DSP!!
