Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun card featuring the new stamp set, Capture the Good! This stamp set was inspired by Tami White for her 1 million dollar sales achievement (she was the first demonstrator to achieve the 2 million dollar sales achievement last year). Not only is Tami my upline, but she is also a sweet friend of mine! Granite I only get to see her a couple times a year at On Stage, but it is so wonderful seeing her and the other sweet ladies from Team Stamp It! When she offered a special bundle featuring her stamp set AND you could get it autographed, I jumped at the chance! Needless to say, this stamp set will be part of my “permanent” collection!! Normally I only create cards using Stampin’ Up! products, but I thought the camera from this set would be perfect to take it a step up with the lens and use a Mini Wobble Spring. These are self-adhesive springs that give your projects a little “pop” and you can see them HERE from Amazon.com.
The base layer is Pool Party cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the dash stamp from the Birthday Backgrounds in Pretty Peacock ink and used my Stamparatus with the “hinge step technique” to line the stamp evenly across. TIP-normally you would just move your plate to the next hinge, but with the stamp you will move it two over and then stamp:
The camera is stamped in Memento Ink on Smoky Slate cardstock, I filled in the shadows with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, used the 1” and 1 ½” Circle Punches for the camera lens, heat embossed the sentiment in silver on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the 6thlargest Stitched Nested Labels, cut out a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock with the 5thlargest label to layer under the sentiment, and picked out 7 of the Pool Party Iridescent Sequins. TIP-I number my labels, 1 is the largest and 8 is the smallest:
The sentiment layers are adhered together and then I adhered both the camera and sentiment to the stamped based layer:
The larger ring for the camera lens is adhered with mini dimensionals and then the smaller inner lens piece is adhered with the mini wobble spring:
This piece is then adhered to a Pretty Peacock cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I used my Take Your Pick Tool and Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the sequins to make it look like “camera flashes”:
The inside sentiment is on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment is in Pretty Peacock ink and the small lens stamp in Pool Party ink:
