Quick and easy Christmas card!

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a quick and easy card featuring the Snow Front stamp set and Flowers for Every Season 6” x 6” DSP! When it comes to Christmas, I know some people prefer the traditional colors of red and green for their cards and crafts, but for me, I’m not really partial to colors, just what I like and how can I make beautiful cards, lol! So, today’s card is for those of you that like the traditional red and green colors and to make a quick and easy card!

The base layer is this design from the Flowers for Every Season DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Use the large star die from Happy Dies to die-cut from the gold Brushed Metallic cardstock.

2. On Just Jade cardstock, stamp the pine tree stamp from Winter Woods in Shaded Spruce ink and die-cut out with the coordinating die.

3. Use the second largest layering die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies to die-cut from Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the two smallest pine trees from Snow Front in Just Jade and Shaded Spruce inks, stamping first generation and filling in with second and third generation stamping, the deer are stamped in Early Espresso ink, and the cabin is stamped in Sahara Sand ink, using a Gray Granite Stampin’ Write Marker to color the smoke from the chimney.

I first adhered the die-cut scenery along the right side of the DSP base layer, adhered the die-cut tree on the left side with part of the tree over-lapping the die-cut scenery, and adhered the die-cut star to the top of the tree:

This completed piece is adhered to a Shaded Spruce cardstock card base, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment from Winter Woods in Shaded Spruce ink, and adhere the ¾” x 6” piece of DSP along the bottom, trimming off the excess:

Such a quick and easy card that uses lots of stamping to tie into the Christmas Poinsettia design from the Flowers for Every Season DSP! This is a great card to make with any DSP design and you will use up your DSP to make room for more next year! Don’t forget, with the 2” x 5 ¼” piece of DSP left over, you can use that to decorate the flap of your envelope!
