Bottles of In Color Happiness!

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a fun and easy card featuring the new Bottled Happiness Bundle, Stylish Shapes Dies, and the 2022-2024 In Colors! I simply cannot share fun new products from the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and not have a little fun with them before the catalog goes live on May 3rd! If you like two-step stamp sets and punches, then the Bottled Happiness Bundle is for you! I paired the bundle with the soon to be retiring In Good Taste DSP and the carrying over Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. This easy card will show you how easy it is to just stamp and punch, a little masking, and a two-step stamped image, whether you are making a single card or multiples!

The base layer for the card front is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, spritzed with a little water, and embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder:

For the rest of the card front, you will need:

1. Cut a 3” x 5 ¼” piece of the In Good Taste DSP from the design shown.

2. Using the tall solid bottle stamp, stamp one each in Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Starry Sky, and Orchid Oasis inks on Basic White cardstock and use the Vintage Bottle Punch to punch out.

3. Stamp the sentiment from Bottled Happiness on Basic White cardstock in Gray Granite ink and use the smallest square Stylish Shapes Die to die-cut out as shown.

4. You will need two of the 4mm Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, not shown.

To assemble the card front, I first adhered the DSP in the middle of the embossed cardstock base layer and then adhered part of the Sweet Sorbet bottle behind the Parakeet Party bottle and part of the Orchid Oasis bottle behind the Starry Sky bottle. I adhered the layered bottles to the DSP as shown, used dimensionals to adhere the Tahitian Tide bottle in the middle, and adhered the die-cut sentiment to the middle of the Tahitian Tide bottle, placing the Iridescent Rhinestones on the die-cut sentiment as shown. This completed piece is adhered to a Gray Granite cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”:

For the inside, cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock, adhere a ¾” x 5 ¼” piece of the same DSP design as the card front along the bottom of the cardstock, stamp the sentiment from Bottled Happiness in Gray Granite ink, stamp the shorter bottle in Tahitian Tide ink just above the DSP strip, and use a sticky note to mask from the top of the bottle and stamp the branch stamp in Parakeet Party ink:

For the coordinating Basic White envelope, I used the two-step flower stamp to first stamp the flowers in Orchid Oasis ink and stamped the second step leaves stamp in Parakeet Party ink, I personally find it easier to stamp the darker ink first and then the lighter ink. Tip-Since the second step is a photopolymer stamp that is not a solid stamp (meaning it is adjustable/moveable), I first stamped the flowers in Orchid Oasis ink and lined up the leaves stamp over the image before placing my clear block over the stamp. My first stamped image was not quite lined up, so I cleaned the stamp and lined it up correctly, which worked perfectly:

Can you now see how bright and bold these new In Colors are? Not only that, but you can use all five of them together like I did for the bottles! The tall bottle is also a two-step stamp, however, I chose to only use the solid stamp to show not only how well it stamps, but also the new In Colors!
