Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop! My name is Christina Miller and you are visiting my blog, Christina’s Creative Corner. Whether this is your first stop on the blog hop tour or you have hopped on over from another blog, thank you for letting me share my card creation with you today!
Since this is my last post sharing Fall and Thanksgiving card inspiration, I decided to make it super-sized by creating six cards with one design from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP! They are all very easy to make, with just a couple of stamp sets, products from the Forever Greenery Suite, die-cutting, and embossing!
To start, your base layer will be this design from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP, cutting the 12” x 12” sheet into six 4” x 5 ¼” base layers, and six ¾” x 4” strips for the inside. The cardstock card bases are all Crumb Cake cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”. The insides are all Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For card #1, you will need:
1. Spritz a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and die-cut/emboss with the largest leaf die from Gathered Leaves Dies.
2. On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the large leaf stamp from Gather Together in Early Espresso ink, sponge So Saffron, Mango Melody, and Cajun Craze inks, and die-cut out with the coordinating die.
3. Use this large leaf from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
4. Use enough gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack to wrap around the base layer DSP twice and another piece folded over to tie into a double bow, trimming the ends.

Use a little bit of adhesive for the large laser-cut gold leaf to adhere to the base layer DSP (towards the bottom, this will be hidden by the other leaves), wrap the gold trim around twice (adhering the ends to the back of the base layer DSP), adhere the large stamped leaf with dimensionals, the embossed leaf with adhesive, and wrap a glue dot around the piercing tool from Take Your Pick to adhere the gold trim bow:

For the inside, ink the sentiment from Country Home in Crumb Cake ink and use your Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker to color “thankful” and adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:

For card #2, you will need:
1. Stamp the pumpkin from Gather together in Early Espresso ink, use Light Calypso Coral, Light Pumpkin Pie, and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to color, and die-cut out with the coordinating die. I used Shimmery Crystal Effects along the outline and filling in, this will need to be set aside for a bit to dry.
2. One Gold Hoop Embellishment.
3. This leaf from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
4. Use the fourth largest Layering Circles Die to die-cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and emboss with this design embossing folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders.
5. Cut a ¾” x 3 ½” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, use the squared side of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, and emboss the sentiment from Gather Together in gold embossing powder.

I placed the gold hoop on a piece of adhesive sheet to “pick up” the adhesive on the back of the hoop and adhered it to the embossed circle, adhered this to the DSP base layer, used dimensionals to adhere part of the embossed sentiment to the DSP base layer, with the end going over part of the gold hoop, and adhered the laser-cut leaf and pumpkin on top of the sentiment piece:

For the inside, the pumpkins from Gather Together are stamped in Crumb Cake ink, stamping off first, the sentiment from Gather Together is stamped in Cajun Craze ink, and adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:

For card #3, you will need:
1. One gold hoop.
2. This leaf from Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
3. Enough Braided Linen Trim to tie into a bow, I used my bone folder to curl the ends.
4. Use the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies to die-cut from Very Vanilla Cardstock, stamp the sentiment from Gather Together in Cajun Craze ink, and use the splatter stamp from Gather Together in Crumb Cake ink (stamping off first) to stamp the background.

I placed the gold hoop on a piece of adhesive sheet to “pick up” the adhesive on the back of the hoop to adhere to the sentiment die-cut circle, a glue dot to adhere the laser-cut leaf, and a glue dot to adhere the bow. This completed piece is adhered to the middle of the base layer DSP:

For the inside, the grass/wheat stamp from Gather Together is stamped in Crumb Cake ink (stamping off first), the sentiment from Gather Together in Cajun Craze ink, and adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:

For card #4, you will need:
1. This large laser-cut design from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
2. About 5” of the vanilla and gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
3. Custom cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with the fourth largest Stitched Nested Die and stamp the sentiment from Gather Together in Cajun Craze ink, this will be adhered to the gold laser-cut piece. TIP-I created the custom cut sentiment piece by tracing the corners of the gold laser-cut piece as shown and then lined up the die with that. I only ran part of the die and cardstock thru the cut & embossing machine, the ends hanging off the ends of the machine plates for each end.

Layer the vanilla and gold trim across the middle of the DSP base layer, adhering the ends to the back side, and adhere the layered sentiment piece over this with dimensionals:

For the inside, stamp the sentiment from Gather Together in Cajun Craze ink and adhere the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:

For card #5, you will need:
1. Use the small die-cut/embossing leaf from Gathered Leaves Dies on Cajun Craze cardstock for two leaves, spritz the cardstock with water first.
2. Use this laser-cut piece from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
3. Heat emboss the sentiment from Country Home in Gold Emboss Powder on Crumb Cake cardstock and die-cut out with the second smallest rectangle Stitched Rectangle Dies.
4. About a 5” piece of vanilla ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

Adhere the vanilla ribbon across the middle of the DSP base layer, adhering the ends to the back, the gold laser-cut piece is adhered to the DSP base layer with dimensionals, the sentiment is adhered across the middle of the gold laser-cut piece, and the leaves are adhered to the corners as shown:

For the inside, the sentiment from Gather Together is stamped in Cajun Craze ink and the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP is adhered along the bottom:

For card #6, you will need:
1. This gold laser-cut piece from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.
2. On Very Vanilla cardstock, the pumpkin from Gather Together is stamped in Cajun Craze ink (stamping off first), the sentiment from Gather Together is heat embossed in Gold Emboss Powder, and this is die-cut out with the third smallest circle from Layering Circles Dies. This will be layered on the gold laser-cut piece.
3. About a 5” piece of vanilla ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

The vanilla ribbon is adhered to the middle of the DSP base layer, with the ends adhered to the back, and the layered sentiment piece is adhered with dimensionals:

For the inside, use the splatter stamp from Gather Together in Crumb Cake ink along the top (stamping off first), stamp the sentiment from Gather Together in Cajun Craze ink, and adhere the ¾” x 4” piece of DSP along the bottom:

Whew!! That is whole lot for some beautiful Thanksgiving cards!! Before I started designing each card, I first started the DSP, the gold hoops, and the gold laser-cut paper because I haven’t really used the hoops or the laser-cut paper and I thought these would be great accent pieces with this particular design from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP! Now that I have wrapped up Fall and Thanksgiving, I will be starting on Christmas next week!!
