Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Christmas in July Blog Hop!! Even though Christmas is a few months away, it’s never too early to get some great inspiration and ideas from all the talented ladies in this blog hop! For the card I created today, I wanted to go outside the typical Cherry Cobbler/Garden Green and Real Red/Old Olive color combinations and used Poppy Parade and Call Me Clover! I also used the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies, which were carried over from the 2017 Holiday Catalog to the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. This was one of my favorite Christmas sets from the Holiday Catalog, so I was excited to see it carried over!!

The card base is Call Me Clover cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I used the edge die from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies along the bottom of the card front:

The base layer is from the Brights 6” x 6” DSP in Poppy Parade and white stripes, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The next layer is Call Me Clover cardstock, cut at 3 ¼” x 4 ½”, use the same edge die from the card front, and used the largest oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies:

The last layer is another piece of DSP in Poppy Parade and white dots, cut at 3” x 4 ¼”:

The front sentiment is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamped in Poppy Parade on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then cut out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. This is then adhered to the Call Me Clover oval:

The snowflakes from the dies are cut out with Sparkle Glimmer Paper and a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock cut at ½” x 5 ½”, which is adhered to the inside of the card:

The DSP is adhered to the Call Me Clover cardstock, tie a bow around this with a piece of 1/8” Sheer Ribbon in Whisper White, and then adhere the sentiment with dimensionals:

The DSP base layer is adhered to the card base, and then use dimensionals to adhere the sentiment piece:

I used three of the sparkle snowflakes around the sentiment that are adhered with glue dots:

The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Call Me Clover ink. I used the three remaining sparkle snowflakes around the sentiment with glue dots and then stamped the three-snowflake stamp along the bottom in Poppy Parade ink:
