Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which feature’s one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks, the Frightfully Cute stamp set, and the (retired) Be Dazzling 6” x 6” Specialty Paper! While I was trying to decide today’s card, I realized that I hardly even used the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper from SAB! I know it’s retired, but it’s recently retired, so I wanted to make a quick and easy Halloween card! But how can I use it? That’s when I decided to make my own DSP with the dot design from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks! Just get out your Blending Brushes, ink pads, and have some fun!
The base layer is Basic White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, I used some craft tape to tape the cardstock to the back of the decorative mask, and used my Blending Brushes with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Blackberry Bliss inks:
For the card front, you will need:
1. Use the second largest layering Stitched So Sweetly Die to die-cut from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper.
2. Use the third largest layering Stitched So Sweetly die to die-cut from Basic White cardstock. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the moon in Gray Granite ink and the witch in Memento ink and then used my Blending Brushes to color with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Blackberry Bliss inks.
3. I used the Gray Granite Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack to fold a piece long enough in half and then tie into a double bow, snipping the ends.
4. You will need one small Pumpkin Pie and Highland Heather and one large Basic Black Cute Stars Sequins, not pictured.
I used liquid glue to adhere the two-layering die-cut pieces, a glue dot for the baker’s twine bow, and placed the adhesive backed stars as shown. This piece is adhered to the base layer with dimensionals and then adhered to the front of a Gray Granite cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Gray Granite ink, and stamp the pumpkins along the bottom in Pumpkin Pie ink:
