Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which features the Happy Thoughts stamp set, Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper, and the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper! Not only is this a quick and easy card, it’s one of the quickest and easiest cards I’ve made in a long time! There is no die-cutting, no punches, just your trimmer and a few products are all you need! After the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog was released to demonstrators and I started making my list, I noticed that I’m really starting to tend towards sentiment stamp set that have a little bit more sayings to them, not your typical simple “Happy Birthday”, “Thank You”, etc. Which I think why I was drawn to the bold sentiments from the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the 2021 Mini Catalog, when it was released!
The base layer is this design from the Forever Greenery DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:
For the card front, you will need:
1. This design from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.
2. Cut at 1 ¼” x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock and use your Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from Happy Thoughts in Garden Green ink.
3. Cut at 1 ½” x 4 ¼” piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, this will be layered under the above sentiment piece.
4. Four of the corners from the Antiqued Corners & Slides Elements.
I used liquid glue to adhere the sentiment piece to the layering cardstock and glue dots to adhere the Antiqued Corners to each corner:
First adhere the DSP base layer to a Garden Green cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. Place a small strip of adhesive to the middle of the DSP, place the gold laser-cut paper in the middle of the DSP, and use liquid glue to adhere the layered sentiment piece as shown:
For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment from Happy Thoughts in Garden Green ink, and use the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the gold laser-cut leaf in the corner:
How easy is this card to make?? Not only is this a great way to use up your retiring Forever Greenery DSP and Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, but you are letting paper and embellishments do all the work for you! I cannot wait to order from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog with all the new and fun sentiments that are in it!
