Gilded Autumn Season

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is my first Thanksgiving card of the season featuring the Gather Together stamp set and the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP! The Gather Together stamp set and the Gathered Leaves Dies are both a returning favorite in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, which is also one of my favorite bundles for fall themed and Thanksgiving cards! They also coordinate nicely with the beautiful Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP, which really give your cards and crafts that extra added foil touch!

The base layer is this design from the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Use the fourth largest layering Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out of Crumb Cake cardstock. The large leaf stamp from Gather Together is stamped in Early Espresso ink and the speckled background stamp is stamped once in the middle with Terracotta Tile ink (fully inked) and then stamping off once before stamping each time as a “space filler”.

2. Cut a 4 ½” piece of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim, this will go across the above Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut and the ends will be adhered to the back.

3. Heat emboss the sentiment from Gather Together in Gold Emboss Powder on Mint Macaron cardstock and die-cut out with the small squared Rectangle Stitched Die.

4. Use the four small leaf dies from Forever Flourishing Dies to die-cut from Gold Foil Sheets. I did use some of the Adhesive Sheets on the back of the foil sheet before cutting for adhering to the faux suede trim.

To assemble this middle piece, adhere the faux suede ribbon across the middle of the Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut, with the ends adhered to the back, the embossed sentiment is adhered over the middle of the ribbon with mini dimensionals, and two of the leaves are adhered on each side of the sentiment:

This completed piece is adhered to the middle of the base layer DSP, which is adhered to an Early Espresso cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment from Gather Together in Early Espresso ink, and adhere the ¾” x 4” piece of DSP along the bottom:

Simple to make, but beautiful Thanksgiving card! This is a great “one sheet wonder” card because all the accents made for the front of the card are so easy to make multiples of: six of the Crumb Cake cardstock die cuts, six of the sentiments heat embossed and then die-cut, and six sets of the four die-cut gold foil leaves, there are four of these dies! So, six cards are easily made to kick-off your Thanksgiving cards!
