Valentine's Day Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Valentine’s Day Blog Hop! My name is Christina Miller and you are visiting my blog, Christina’s Creative Corner! Whether this is your first stop on the blog hop tour or have hopped on over from another blog, thank you for letting me share my creation with you today! Let’s get started!!

I thought I would create “little goodies” for my Valentine’s Day, which are perfect for co-workers, friends, or even if your child has a or attends a Valentine’s party! These are quick and easy, which is awesome if you have several to make. I combined the Heartfelt Bundle and the Honey Bee Bundle, with just a hint of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP, for this super sweet mini card and treat holder.

For the 3” x 3” mini card:

1. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 3” x 6” and score at 3”. Tip-if you use 12” x 12” Whisper White cardstock, you can make 8 of these cards with no leftover scraps.

2. On a piece of Gold Foil Sheet, stamp the stitched heart and sentiment in Stazon ink and punch out with the heart punch.

3. Use the double heart die from the Detailed Bee Dies to cut out of Gold Foil Sheet.

4. Stamp the bee in Memento ink on Whisper White ink, color in the body with a Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker, and cut out with the coordinating die.

5. Use the honeycomb die to cut out a piece in Basic Black cardstock.

Adhere the honeycomb and die cut hearts to the card front and then use dimensionals to adhere the bee and heart. The sentiment is stamped on the inside with Memento ink:

The treat holder is for a piece of Ghirardelli candy (have you tried this one?? Crème Brulee is delicious!!):

1. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2” x 5 ½”, punch each end with the Delightful Tag Topper punch, and fold in the middle. Tip-if you use 8 ½” x 11” cardstock, you will make 8 of these with only a ½” strip left over.

2. Cut a 2” x 2” piece of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP and use the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners.

3. Stamp the bee on Whisper White cardstock, color in the bee with a Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker, and cut out with the coordinating die.

4. Cut a piece of Black Satin Ribbon to tie the treat holder closed.

The DSP is adhered to the cardstock and the bee is adhered with a dimensional. The candy fits perfectly if you fold the flaps in:

To tie this all together, I stamped the heart sentiment on the 3” x 3” envelope in Pineapple Punch ink, the bee’s in Memento ink, and colored them in with a Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker:

Isn’t this just adorable?? This is a fun and easy way to make a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day! I really like it when I can combine different products for special occasions and the Honey Bee Bundle pairs perfectly with the Heartfelt Bundle.

All Wrapped Up Christmas Card!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a super cute card that is quick and easy to make! This card was inspired by one of the sentiments from Itty Bitty Christmas, which I used for the card front. This is another fun card using just about all of one sheet from the Wrapped in Plaid 6” x 6” DSP to create, which I’ll give you one other way to use part of this DSP at the end of this tutorial.

To start, cut this design from the DSP, ¾” from one side, turn 90 degrees and cut at 4”. This will give you one piece at ¾” x 6”, one piece at 4” x 5 ¼”, and one piece at 2” x 5 ¼”. The 4” x 5 ¼” will be the base layer:

For the card front you will need:

1. Two piece of Shaded Spruce/Gold Striped Ribbon, long enough to go across the DSP vertically and horizontally.

2. Enough ribbon to create a double bow, if you are not sure how, check out this helpful video here.

3. About 6” of Linen Thread.

4. A 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.

5. Cut a 1 ½” piece of Gold Foil sheet, punch one end with the Detailed Tag Topper Punch, adhere the sentiment piece, trim off excess foil sheet with snips or paper trimmer.

Adhere the ribbon across the DSP like a present:

Tie the Linen Thread thru the tag hole, tie into a knot, and adhere the sentiment to the DSP, laying the thread across the middle of the ribbon:

Adhere the double ribbon with glue dots in the middle of the ribbon pieces, also securing the thread, trim off any extra thread. This completed piece is adhered to a Shaded Spruce cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink, and adhere the ¾” strip of DSP across the bottom, trimming off any extra:

Isn’t this a super cute card that is so easy to make?? This is a great way to use up your ribbon!! So, now you see that I did not use the 2” strip of DSP on this card, how would you use it? On your envelope!! I always decorate my envelopes and if you have the Beautiful Layers Dies, then you know that there is a die that will cut the DSP to fit perfectly on the flap of the envelope! Don’t have this die set? You can easily trim the DSP to fit the envelope flap!

For your new home!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a quick and fun card made with the Delightful Day Bundle! Recently, my beautiful mother-in-law came out to visit for a couple of weeks and her visit wouldn’t be complete without making at least one card! For her first week, we spent it in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with family and friends and then the second week we spent time in my craft room sharing tips, tricks, product information, and storage ideas! Since she had a special request to make a card for a new home owner, this was the perfect opportunity for her to use some of the new products from the annual catalog. I designed this card for her to show that you can use just a few products to make a cute and easy card in a snap!

The base layer is this design from the Garden Lane DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. A Pearlized Doily.

2. Enough Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon to tie a bow around the DSP.

3. A scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the leaves and stem stamp in Garden Green ink, stamp the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink, and punch out with the Starburst Punch.

4. Cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock at 1” x 2 ¾”, use the Delightful Tag Topper to punch both ends, and stamp the sentiment in Garden Green ink.

Adhere the stamped starburst cardstock to the pearlized doily and then adhere this piece to the DSP base layer:

Adhere the tag sentiment along the bottom of the doily with dimensionals and then tie the metallic edge ribbon into a bow in between the sentiment and the edge of the DSP. Note-I just cut a piece of ribbon long enough to go around the front and around the edge of the backside, tied a bow separately, and then adhered the bow with a glue dot:

This completed card front is then adhered to a Garden Green cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

The inside sentiment is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sentiment is stamped in Garden Green ink, and I adhered a ¾” x 4” piece of DSP (same design as the card front) along the bottom with snail:

Isn’t this a super cute card?? You can always step this card up a bit with maybe some metallic thread, pearls, or even rhinestones! Don’t forget that you can also color those pearls and rhinestones with Stampin’ Blends to color coordinate!!

Time to celebrate!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and light celebratory card made with a few products that you may not have thought to combine! I just love how you can create whatever color flowers you want with the Floral Essence stamp set, so combining them with the Garden Lane DSP was so easy! I also gave the leaves a different look by stamping them in Frost White Shimmer Paint before punching them out!

The base layer is this design from the Garden Lane DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front you will need:

1. Two big and two small flowers stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink, the centers stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, and fussy cut out.

2. The sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a 1” x 4” piece of Whisper White cardstock, one end punched with the Delightful Tag Topper punch and the other end with the Banner Triple Punch.

3. Cut a 1 ½” x 4 ¼” piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock with both ends punched the same as the sentiment piece to layer underneath.

4. Stamp the leaf on Mossy Meadow cardstock five times with Frost White Shimmer Paint, let dry, and punch out with the coordinating punch. Tip-use a craft sheet to pour a drop of the shimmer paint (it’s a big drop) and then lightly tap the stamp to get the paint on it and stamp off before stamping on cardstock to get any excess paint off. I wiped the stamp with a baby wipe and ran under water to rinse, then cleaned as normal:

To assemble:

1. Adhere the layered sentiment piece to the middle of the DSP base layer.

2. Adhere one of the big flowers with two of the leaves to the top corner of the sentiment and then adhere one leave to the small flower, adhering this with a dimensional next to the big flower.

3. Adhere the other big flower with one leaf to the bottom corner of the sentiment and adhere the other small flower with the leaf below the big flower with a dimensional:

This completed piece is adhered to a Sahara Sand cardstock card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I decided to add some Wink of Stella to the flower centers, it’s a little hard to see it:

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, and adhere a ½” x 5 ¼” strip of coordinating DSP along the bottom:

I just love how the leaves look on the cardstock stamped in shimmer paint! If the shimmer paint is taking a bit to dry, you can always help it along with your heat tool, just be careful! This card really is versatile, can be used for any celebration!
