Thanksgiving Cards with Country Lane-p3

Hello and welcome to today’s cards, which are part three of my three-part Thanksgiving cards made with the Country Lane Suite! This is a great way to make your Thanksgiving cards and use up that Designer Series Paper by making eight cards from one sheet! If you missed my two previous blog post, part one shows you how to cut the DSP, the coordinating cardstock, and the first two card designs I made, and part two shows the next two card designs. Today we will be making the final two designs, which will give you a total of eight cards.

I used the final three pieces of Mint Macaron cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”, for the card base.

For the card on the left, I cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Galvanized Metallic Paper, embossed it with the Corrugated Dynamic TIEF, and adhered to the card base:

For the front of the card, you will need a Galvanized Clip, Braided Linen Trim, the 4” x 2” piece of DSP, and the sentiment from Country Home stamp set is stamped in Mint Macaron ink, masking the bottom of the sentiment with tape, stamping on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, and cutting out with a Stitched Labels Framelit:

To assemble, tie the linen trim in a knot, adhere the sentiment to the DSP, and then attach the clip. This is then adhered to the base layer with dimensionals:

The inside sentiment and image stamps are stamped on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, in Mint Macaron ink:

For the card on the right, use a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, emboss with the Subtle Dynamic TIEF, for the base layer and then adhere to the Mint Macaron card base:

For the card front, use the 3” x 4” piece of DSP, tie a piece of the Braided Linen Trim around into a bow, stamp the sentiment from Country Home in Blackberry Bliss ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut out with the fourth largest scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits, adhere to the DSP with dimensionals, cut a 1 ½” x 2” piece of Galvanized Metallic Paper (this was a scrap piece that I had), punch one end with the Banner Triple Punch, adhere to the back of the DSP, and then adhere this completed piece to the base layer:

The inside sentiment is a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment from Country Home is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink, the can and flowers are stamped in Memento ink, and these are colored in with Light and Dark Mint Macaron, Light and Dark Blackberry Bliss, Light and Dark Old Olive, Dark Cajun Craze, and Dark Mango Melody Stampin Blends, with Wink of Stella on the cotton blooms:

Aren’t these easy?? The card on the right I made two of since I had two pieces of 2” x 4” DSP. This will give you a total of eight cards!! Isn’t this a great idea and inspiration when you have several cards you need to make, like for birthdays, thank you, and holidays! Thank you again to Ronda Wade for sharing this fun and easy idea and inspiring me!!

Creating a fall wreath with Winter Woods

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which was inspired from the card examples in the 2018 Holiday Catalog for the Winter Woods Bundle! I really wanted to CASE the trees and create my own version of a fall wreath, which is pretty easy to do. In case you haven’t noticed, some of the dies sets now come with multiple dies of some of the smaller pieces, which makes it so much easier if you have several pieces to cut, just like this wreath!

To create this card, start with Garden Green cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½” for the card base:

The base layer is a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Galvanized Metallic Paper, embossed with the Corrugated Dynamic TIEF:

To create the wreath, start with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and use the largest and third largest circles from the Layer Circles Framelits. I used sticky notes to keep them in place when die cutting:

Next, I used the pine needle leaf from the Winter Woods stamp set and stamped around in Garden Green, Cajun Crazy, and Mango Melody inks:

For the front accents, you will need a piece of Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon tied into a bow, stamp the pinecone stamp on Crumb Cake cardstock in Early Espresso ink, and stamp the pine needle stamp on Garden Green cardstock with Garden Green ink, Cajun Craze cardstock with Cajun Craze ink, and Mango Melody cardstock with Mango Melody ink. These are cut out using the coordinating die from In the Woods Framelits Dies:

To create the tree trunks, I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock at 3 ½” x 3 ½”, use my Stamparatus to stamp them in Early Espresso ink, and then used a Blender Pen with Whisper White Craft ink to color them in. Tip-I have a designated pen that one end is used only for the craft ink as it will not completely come off. You could also use the White Watercolor Pencil instead of the craft ink:

The wreath base is adhered to this piece, the die cut leaves are arranged around, then adhere the pinecones with Mini Dimensionals and use a Glue Dot for the Crumb Cake bow. After this was put together, I decided to add three Rhinestone Gems that I colored with Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend:

Adhered the embossed base layer to the card base and then adhere the front layer with dimensionals:

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, and stamp the leaves and pinecones along the bottom left corner:

Have you ever been inspired by an example found in the catalog? I just loved the white on the tree trunks and was inspired to CASE it! This card may seem a little overwhelming with details, but having multiple dies made this card very easy!

A Warm Hearted Boo!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and easy Halloween card featuring the Warm Hearted Hostess Set and Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper! Did you notice that one of those cute little Spider Trinkets is “hanging” around?? Lol In case you missed them, there are two hostess stamp sets from the 2018 Holiday Catalog, Warm Hearted and Hung with Care, which you can earn for FREE if you have a qualifying product purchase or host a workshop totaling $150 or more! I chose the Warm Hearted stamp set because it has sentiments for all the upcoming holiday occasions! I just absolutely love the “Boo” sentiment, which is a two-step stamp!

To create this card, first start with a Lemon Lime Twist card base cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

fullsizeoutput_279e

The Toil and Trouble DSP design that I used is the same sheet, front and back, the base layer is cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and the second layer is cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:

For the front of the card, you will need to use the 2 ¼” Circle Punch to cut out a piece from the Black Foil Sheet and then emboss using the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The sentiment is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Gorgeous Grape inks, on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch, and I used a Sponge Dauber with black ink to sponge around the edges. I cut a piece of Black Satin Ribbon long enough to go across the card front, cutting the ends. The Spider Trinket has a piece of Silver Metallic Thread tied in a knot through the jump ring and cut long enough to wrap around the punched circle piece from the spool:

fullsizeoutput_27a7

To put the front of the card together, adhere the two layers of DSP together and then adhere to the card base:

I adhered the ribbon across the middle of the card and then to make the spider dangle, I used two glue dots on the back, placed the thread on the glue dots and then placed two more glue dots on top of those to secure the thread:

fullsizeoutput_27b0fullsizeoutput_27b3fullsizeoutput_27b6

I placed the thread in one of the grooves of the embossed foil sheet and then adhered the sentiment on top, this will keep the spider in place. This piece is then adhered to the card base with dimensionals:

For the inside of the card, start with a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the skull is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Gorgeous Grape inks, the sentiment from Spooky Sweets is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink, and I adhered the scrap piece of DSP along the bottom:

fullsizeoutput_27bf

Isn’t that quick and easy?? I just love how the Spider Trinkets add the little extra touch to the card! This is great if you are making Halloween Cards because you can use any of the Toil and Trouble DSP and create multiple cards!!
