Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to make this super cute birthday card! This designer series paper is part of the Birthday Bonanza Suite from the 2020 Mini Catalog! Who wouldn’t want a super cute, bright, and cheerful card for their birthday?? As an added bonus, I also used the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (this is carrying over from the Holiday Catalog) to give the balloons some texture and was also able to incorporate the Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequin Combo Pack from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog!
The base layer for this card is this design from the Birthday Bonanza DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:
For the rest of the card front, you will need:
1. Use the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out of coordinating cardstock and emboss with the Coastal Weave and Hammered Metal 3D EF. I used Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana cardstock.
2. Use the Metallic Baker’s Twine to tie to the end of the balloons.
3. Use whatever color/size combo of sequins.
4. Stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the smallest layering Stitched Rectangles Die.
I first adhered three of the balloons with glue dots to the DSP:
Then adhere the other two balloons and sentiment with dimensionals, making sure the baker’s twine is behind the sentiment and trimming off the excess baker’s twine:
I used glue dots to adhere the bigger sequins and the fine tip glue pen to adhere the small sequin on the corner of the sentiment. This is adhered to a Bermuda Bay cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, and adhere a ¾” strip of DSP along the bottom:
