Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a beautiful all occasion card featuring the Art Gallery stamp set, Floral Gallery Dies, and Texture Chic Specialty 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper! My goodie box from the new Jan – April Mini Catalog arrived (yay!), but I had already started this card because I wanted to create a card with products from the annual catalog before the frenzy started with the new mini catalog, lol! Just to share, from the SAB Catalog I ordered the Beautifully Happy stamp set and the Dandy Designs DSP and from the mini catalog I ordered the Happy Labels Pick a Punch, Alphabet A LA Mode dies, Cane Weave 3D EF, Dragonfly Trinkets, Seaside Bay Bundle, By the Bay DSP, Flat Adhesive Back Pearls, Sea Turtle stamp set, Country Gingham DSP, Country Bouquet Bundle, small blending brushes, and Night of Navy ribbon! Of course, the By the Bay Suite is my favorite, but I opted for the Night of Navy ribbon instead, but I thought the By the Bay DSP would be great to pair with the Sea Turtle and Friends are Like Seashells stamp sets, even possibly with the Whale Done stamp set and coordinating Whale Punch! The Dandy Designs DSP is free with a $100 (USD) product purchase and with 48 sheets (4 each of 12 double-sided designs) I can easily see the possibilities, including bringing out some older stamp sets that I haven’t used in a while! I do have quite the wish list from the mini catalog, but I only ordered what I wanted the most and then after a couple of months I will see where I stand with the rest of the list, you know how it goes, lol! Anyhow, back to today’s card! The Art Gallery stamp set has all occasion sentiments, so I decided to pair it with a sheet from the Texture Chic DSP to create six cards that are ready for use, just add your sentiment to the inside!
The base layer for the card front is this design from the Texture Chic DSP, cut into six 4” x 5 ¼” base layers and six ¾” x 4” strips for the inside:
For the rest of the card front, you will need:
1. On Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the flower in Petal Pink ink, the second step stamp in Versamark, sprinkle Heat & Stick powder, heat with your Heat Tool, and place Gold Leafing Embellishment over the Heat & Stick powder, rubbing off the excess gold leafing. This is then die-cut out with the coordinating Floral Gallery Die and I used three of the small Basic Gray Classic Matte Dots for the center of the flower. Note-I used my crafting brush from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to remove the excess gold leafing. Since I made six of these cards, I made three of these in Petal Pink and three in Mango Melody, which I will show you that card at the end.
2. On Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the stem in Soft Succulent ink and use the coordinating Floral Gallery Die to die-cut out.
3. Use the Decorative Circle Punch to punch out of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
4. Use the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon to fold over four times, I used tweezers to hold one end and placed adhesive between each ribbon layer (in the middle) to adhere the layers together.
5. On Very Vanilla cardstock, heat emboss the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder and use the sentiment die from Floral Gallery to die-cut out.
To assemble the card, adhere the punched circle to the DSP base layer, adhere the die-cut flower over the DSP and gold punched circle, place a little spot of adhesive to adhere the ribbon to the DSP base layer, and use mini dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the ribbon. This completed piece is adhered to a Pool Party cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, I used one of the sentiments from Art Gallery in Soft Succulent ink and adhered the ¾” x 4” strip of DSP along the bottom:
For the coordinating Very Vanilla Medium Envelope, I stamped off the large flower in Petal Pink ink first, stamped the second step flower stamp in Petal Pink ink, and used a Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to make the three dots in the middle of the flower:
For the other three cards, I used Mango Melody in place of Petal Pink ink and used three of the Very Vanilla Classic Matte Dots for the flower center. The DSP design has Petal Pink and Mango Melody, so I used the Petal Pink flowers for the base layers that had Petal Pink in it and Mango Melody flowers for the base layers that had Mango Melody ink it:
What a great way to pair a different stamp set with this wonderful DSP! At first, I was trying to create something with the Paradise Palms Bundle, which I didn’t really care for, but I love how the card came out using the Art Gallery stamp set!! Now that my order has arrived, I will be starting my Valentine’s Day cards featuring the Country Bouquet Bundle next time!!
