Get ready for Fall!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which was my first creation for the Stamp It Groups Fall Theme Blog Hop (you can get to the blog hop here. I decided to create another card so I would have a couple of choices and ended up using that card. That doesn’t mean I can’t share with you, right?? This card features the Colorful Seasons stamp set and the coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, which is an awesome all season set to have.

To create this card, start with Mossy Meadow cardstock for the card base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”

The base layer is Cajun Craze cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and I used the Burlap background stamp, heat embossing in Copper Embossing Powder:

For the leaves, I used the smaller leaf thinlit to cut out in Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow cardstock. I used the detailed leaf stamp on Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow cardstock in Versamark ink, heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, and then cut out with the bigger leaf thinlit. For the other tricolored leaves, I used sponge daubers with Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow inks on Very Vanilla cardstock. I cut out 5 small leaves, stamped the detailed leaf stamp in Mossy Meadow ink twice, and then cut out with the bigger leaf thinlit:

The branch is cut out of Early Espresso cardstock with the branch thinlit and then I stamped FALL on four of the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink from the Make A Difference stamp set:

The branch is adhered across the top (of the longer side) and the leaves are positioned across the branch, all adhered with the Fine Tip Glue Pen:

I then adhered the 4 larger leaves across the bottom of the base layer, which I do recommend using a liquid glue to help adhere to the embossed parts of the cardstock:

Then the 4 remaining small leaves are adhered with dimensionals:

The base layer is then adhered to the card base with dimensionals:

The inside is a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and I used the small leaf stamp in Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow inks along the side:

Another quick and easy for fall card! You could easily turn this into a Thanksgiving card by not stamping the small leaves with the FALL letters and use your favorite sentiment!
