For this weeks final card featuring the Amazing You stamp set and Celebrate You Thinlits Dies, I wanted to show you how to “up-cycle” leftovers from using the thinlits. Last month I made a card using the celebrate thinlit, which you can see here, and I decided that I was going to keep the bits that were left rather than just throwing them away.
The card base is in Basic Gray, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”, the base layer is from the Bubbles & Fizz DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and the Silver Foil Sheet is cut at 1” x 4”. Using scrap pieces of Whisper White card stock, stamp the “let’s” and “you” in Basic Gray ink and cut out by hand to the desired size.
To put this card together, adhere the base layer to the card base, cut a piece of Basic Gray Shimmer Ribbon long enough to go around the front of the card, towards the bottom, and then tie in a knot. Find the position that you want the Silver Foil celebrate on the front, then use the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere to the base layer, and then adhere the little bits in the C, L, and E’s. The “let’s” and “you” are popped up using Mini Dimensionals and added some bling with some Silver Foil Metallic Enamel Shapes.
This was such a quick and easy card to make and you get to use some of those leftover scraps! Let me know what you think!
