Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is my final card this week featuring the Berry Blessings Bundle from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog! Where has the time gone, because there are only a couple of days left to earn free products from the SAB catalog!! So, I thought I would end this week and SAB with a bang and show you a super easy layout to make twelve cards from three sheets of this super cute DSP! 12 cards?? That’s right, let’s use up this DSP and stock up on cards!
I used these two designs from the Berry Delightful DSP, the base layer is cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and the next layer is cut at 3” x 4”:
For the card front, you will need:
1. One Square Vellum Doily.
2. Cut a 1” x 4” piece of Basic Black cardstock, heat emboss the sentiment from Berry Blessings in White Embossing Powder, and use the squared end punch from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
3. Using the Whisper White twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, fold a piece in half and tie into a (double) bow, trimming the ends.
Use a little bit of Stampin’ Seal in the middle of the DSP to adhere the Square Vellum Doily as shown:
Use dimensionals to adhere the embossed sentiment over the doily and liquid glue to adhere the double bow as shown:
This completed piece is adhered to a Real Red cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:
For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment of your choice in Real Red ink (I used a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays), and adhere a ¾” x 4” piece of DSP (same as the base layer) across the bottom:
How easy was that!!?? As I said previously, I made twelve of these cards because the opposite side design of this DSP didn’t “speak” to me. I cut up two sheets of the base layer design into 4” x 5 ¼” and ¾” x 4” pieces and the second layer is one sheet cut up into 3” x 4” pieces, giving you your twelve base pieces. Then you will cut six sheets of Real Red cardstock into 4 ¼” x 11 card bases (total of 12) and one sheet of Basic Black cardstock to cut twelve pieces at 1” x 4”, using your Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink. After heat embossing the sentiments (stamp sentiment, cover with embossing powder, and heat set), I punched each end with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. After completing all of the cutting, stamping, heat embossing, and making the double bows, I used the “assembly line” method to put each card together. If you don’t want to stamp a sentiment for the inside just yet, you can always leave that blank and decide which sentiment to use later! Tip-the Pearlized Doilies (retired) also work with this card if you still have some of those around!
Don’t forget, you only have two days (February 28th, 2021) to earn all the free goodies in the SAB catalog!!
