Celebrate You

Hello and welcome to part 4 of this week’s Sale-A-Bration spotlight on stamp sets! Today I will be featuring the Amazing You stamp set with the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies. You can earn the Amazing You stamp set with a qualifying $50.00 order or the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies with a qualifying $100.00 order, however, the Celebrate You Thinlits will be carried over into the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog for purchase.

When making these fun cards, I decided to make two cards with the 2016-2018 In Colors that will be retiring on May 31st, one soft and subtle and one bright and cheerful! The color pallet I used for the first card is Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, and Perfect Plum. The color pallet I used for the second card is Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy, and Dapper Denim.

The card base is Sweet Sugarplum/Daffodil Delight cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. The base layer is Perfect Plum/Dapper Denim cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. The second layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¾”.

On the Whisper White cardstock, first use your Embossing Buddy across the paper, using the “burst” stamp with Versamark ink, stamp along the bottom and left side, then sprinkle White Embossing Powder across the stamped images, and set with the Heat Tool. Using a Sponge Dauber, color the embossed image with the colors in a circular motion, you can use a tissue or paper towel to wipe the ink off the embossing to make it white again and stand out.

For one card, I used a piece of Champagne Foil and Blushing Bride cardstock to cut out the Celebrate. For the other card, I used Gold Foil and Emerald Envy cardstock to cut out the Celebrate, gluing them together slightly off to make the cardstock look like a shadow. I cut Mini Dimensionals in half and placed them along the back of the Celebrate and then placed on the Whisper White cardstock. The “you” stamp from this set is stamped in either Sweet Sugarplum or Dapper Denim inks.

The base layer is embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF, which I took the coordinating ink pad and dragged across to ink up the folder before embossing (Perfect Plum or Dapper Denim).

To put the card together, adhere the base layer to the card base, use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the second layer, and then add some coordinating Enamel Shapes.
