Create a colorful background with Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the new Country Floral Dynamic TIEF! This awesome embossing folder is a part of the Sale-A-Bration 2ndrelease and you can earn this with a qualifying $50 (USD) product purchase. Another embossing folder?? Yes, please! While I love the look of this embossing folder on cardstock, today I’m going to show you how to take this up a notch by adding color.

First, ink the embossing folder (the side with the Sizzix and SU! logos) by pressing the Pineapple Punch ink pad directly to the folder*. Then place a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock in the folder and run through the Big Shot. *TIP-Dragging the ink pad across the embossing folder will give you a much lighter effect, whereas applying the ink pad directly to the embossing folder will give you a more saturated effect.:

I started by coloring the roses and petal flowers with a sponge dauber and Lovely Lipstick ink:

I then colored the other flowers with a sponge dauber and Grapefruit Grove ink:

Finally, I colored the leaves with a sponge dauber and Call Me Clover ink. *TIP-You can always go back over the flowers or leaves with the sponge dauber to make the color darker:

For the rest of the card front, stamp the sentiment from Florentine Filigree stamp set on Whisper White cardstock in Lovely Lipstick ink, cutting out with this die from the Stitched Labels Framelits, and enough Whisper White Tulle Ribbon to tie around the embossed cardstock into a bow:

The ribbon is tied into a bow and the sentiment is adhered with liquid glue:

The completed base layer is adhered to a 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”, Lovely Lipstick cardstock card base. Using any of the 2018-2020 InColors cardstock will work, I chose Lovely Lipstick because I liked how it made the roses standout:

The inside sentiment from Florentine Filigree is stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock. The flowers are from the Amazing Life stamp set, they looked like the small petal flowers on the embossing folder to me, stamped in Memento Ink and colored in with Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, and Call Me Clover Stampin’ Write Markers:

Wasn’t that quick and easy for a beautiful card? I thought that by using a simple sentiment for the front wouldn’t take away from the embossing folder being the focal point. If you don’t have Stampin’ Write Markers, Blender Pens and your ink pad work just as well!
