Welcoming Window Bundle with the new 2021-2023 InColors!

Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is a fun and easy Mother’s Day card featuring the Welcoming Window Bundle and the new 2021-2023 In Colors! I have to say, I just love how all of the new In Colors coordinate together!! I wasn’t quite sure if I could incorporate all the new In Colors into this card, but I did, and I am so happy how this card turned out! Just a little die-cutting and a whole lot of stamping makes this card not just for Mother’s Day, but for any occasion with your favorite sentiment!

To create the stamped base layer, first start with a piece of Basic White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the smaller leaf stamp (2a) in Evening Evergreen ink along the bottom, layering the stamped images to “cover up” the blank spaces for the 2nd step flower stamp. I then stamped the leaf stamp in Soft Succulent ink along the top of the stamped Evening Evergreen leaves and stamped the 2nd step flower stamp (2b) in Polished Pink ink. I stamped the brick stamp in Smoky Slate ink at a diagonal, going up from the “flower bed”, and then continued to stamp each line diagonally, filling in the rest of the background. I then used my Wink of Stella pen on the flowers:

For the rest of the card front, you will need:

1. On Basic White cardstock, stamp the shutter two times and the ledge in Evening Evergreen ink and use the coordinating die to die-cut out.

2. On Basic White cardstock, the window is stamped in Pale Papaya ink and die-cut out with the coordinating die.

3. On Basic White cardstock, the pitcher is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink, die-cut out with the coordinating die, and I used my Wink of Stella pen.

4. From Pale Papaya cardstock, use the fence die from Birthday Chick Dies to die-cut out two pieces.

I used liquid glue to adhere the fence die-cuts to the base layer, trimming off the excess from the end, and placed liquid glue in the middle of the backside to adhere:

I used liquid glue to adhere the shutters, sliding the side along the window a little under the window die-cut, adhered the ledge under the window, and a dimensional to adhere the die-cut pitcher:

This completed piece is adhered to an Evening Evergreen cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5 ½”, stamp the brick stamp along the bottom in Smoky Slate ink, the small and large planter in Pale Papaya ink, the small over-hanging leaf stamp in Soft Succulent, and the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink:

So, what do you think of the new 2021-2023 In Colors?? They are “soft”, but the really are beautiful colors, it’ll be interesting to see which one ends up being my favorite!
