Hey, Little Ladybug!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features two products from the 2020 Sale-A-Bration catalog and a sneak peek at an upcoming product available February 4th! The Little Ladybug stamp set is a special SAB Hostess set that you can earn with a $300 (USD) product purchase and if you are on the fence about this set, well there is a coordinating die set that will be available for purchase starting February 4th for $29 (153588)! Not only do the dies cut out the four individual ladybugs, the full large flower, and just the top petal part, but it also has some super cute accent dies that also emboss! The coordinating dies were the clincher for me and as I demonstrator I could buy them NOW! lol I paired this set with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder from the Power of Hope Bundle (also in the SAB catalog) to create this sweet birthday card!

The base layer is Basic Gray cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and embossed with the Stone 3D EF:

For the card front, you will need:

1. On Whisper White cardstock, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink and punch out with the Classic Label Punch. Use the punch one more time with Lovely Lipstick cardstock, this will be layered under the sentiment.

2. Stamp the two ladybugs in Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock, color the “wings” and top of the head with Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends, and then color the back and the flower with Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. Let this dry for a moment before using Wink of Stella on the wings and flower. Cut these out with the coordinating die.

3. Use the flower die to cut/emboss three pieces from Lovely Lipstick cardstock and then place a small (3mm) Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the middle of the flower.

4. Use the 2” Circle Punch to cut out a piece of Whisper White cardstock and the 2 ¼” Circle Punch to cut out a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock. Stamp a section of the All Wired Up Background stamp in Versamark ink and heat emboss with Black Emboss Powder. These two circles will be layered together.

To assemble the card front, adhere the layered circled about the middle of the embossed base layer and adhere the ladybugs with dimensionals. Adhere the Classic Label Punch pieces together with the Lovely Lipstick layer sticking out on the left side, this is adhered to the embossed base layer with mini dimensionals. The three flowers are adhered to the embossed base layer:

This completed piece is adhered to a Basic Black cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the sentiment and little ladybugs in Memento ink, color in the ladybugs with Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends, and then add some Wink of Stella:

Isn’t this set so stinking cute?? I just love this time of year with the Mini (previously called Occasions Catalog) and the SAB Catalogs! This is a great time to restock on supplies that you have used up from the holidays and earn free products!

The Cat and the Moon

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is another fun Halloween card made with the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set! It wouldn’t be Halloween card making without a “cat and the moon” card with the nighttime sky in Halloween colors! Would you believe that I used the Birch background stamp to create the “spooky mist”?? That’s right, if you position the paper just right, you can get this effect with the Whisper White Craft Ink and your Stamparatus! Just another reason to get this background stamp if you don’t already have it!

Your base layer is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and use the 2 ¼” Circle Punch at the bottom of the cardstock to punch out the circle for the moon, and then you will need a 2 ½” x 4 piece of Basic Gray cardstock:

For the sky, use sponge brayers to color with Mango Melody, Granny Apply Green, and Gorgeous Grape inks.

For the moon, I simply pressed the circle cardstock directly onto my Pineapple Punch stamp pad and used my finger tips to press into the ink, which gives the illusion of texture on the moon.

For the brick wall, spritz the paper with water and emboss with the Brick & Mortar 3D Folder. I then used a sponge dauber with Basic Gray ink to give the embossed side depth.

I stamped the cat in Memento Ink on the moon, using my Stamparatus so I could ink the stamp repeatedly to get a very dark image (about 3 times). I laid the brick wall on the base layer to use as a guide to adhere the cat in the moon correctly:

If you look at the Birch background stamp, you will see that around the middle area that there a just lines and no wood detail and this is where I lined up the base layer to be stamped with Whisper White Craft ink. Use your Stamparatus for this step as well:

The brick wall is adhered to the base layer with black dimensionals:

The sentiment is heat embossed with Shimmer Black Emboss Powder, punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch, use the large gray enamel dots from Monster Bash on each side, adhere to the brick wall, and then this completed piece is adhered to a Basic Black cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, use a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the bats in Memento ink, heat emboss the “wicked” with Shimmer Black Emboss Powder, and stamp the rest of the sentiments with Basic Gray ink:

Isn’t this a fun and cute card? This was really easy to make and I really liked the idea of creating a different colored sky, I almost started out making a typical nighttime colored sky!
