Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Groups Fall Theme Blog Hop! Can you believe the official start of Fall is only 3 weeks away?? Today’s blog hop is a great way to get your mind set (and ready) for the upcoming holiday card and craft making! The card I am sharing today features the Rooted in Nature stamp set with Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Copper accents. This is a very easy card to CASE and change the colors used to make it your own creation!
To create this card, start with Cajun Craze cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½” for your card base:
The base layer is Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I then used both of the leaf stamps from Rooted in Nature in Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped off the leaf stamp after inking and randomly stamped them on the Very Vanilla cardstock:
You will need a piece of Copper Trim long enough to go across the front of the card and one of the Leaves Trinkets in copper. From the Stitched Labels Framelits, I used the bigger of the two circle dies to cut out a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and the label framelit to cut out the sentiment in Copper Embossing Powder on Very Vanilla cardstock:
The adhere the Very Vanilla sentiment across the middle of the Cajun Craze piece and then use glue dots to adhere the Leaves Trinkets:
Use some adhesive on the back of the base layer to secure the Copper Trim and I used some dimensionals to secure it on the front before adding the layered sentiment piece:
I applied adhesive directly to the card base so when I set the base layer on top, it would have some extra adhesive to secure the Copper Trim:
The inside is a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼” and I stamped the larger leaf stamp in Mango Melody ink and the smaller leaf stamp in Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow inks down the side:
Wasn’t that easy?? Another great color combo would be Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive! Any sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set could be used for this card, it just depends on the occasion!
