Waterfront part 2

What can I say, the Waterfront stamp set is so much fun! This time I wanted to make a card that was a little more effort and create a scenery that you could see yourself in.

The card base is in Tranquil Tide, measures 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, the base layer is from the Wood Textures DSP Stack, cut at 5 ¼” x 4”, and the next layer is in Whisper White cardstock, cut at 5” x 3 ¾”. I first started by stamping the sun image in So Saffron ink and then sponged the sky using Soft Sky ink. I stamped the mountain image in Sahara Sand ink once on each end, and then stamped it again in the middle using Crumb Cake ink, giving it some dimension. For the grass, I first sponged on Lemon-Lime Twist ink and then used the long, thin stamp in Pear Pizzazz in front of the mountains to look like shading. For the water, I sponged Pool Party ink along the bottom and then only inked the top part of biggest shading stamp with Tranquil Tide ink to make it seem like the reflection of the mountains on the water is making the water darker. The cloud images were stamped in VersMark ink and then heat embossed in White Embossing Powder. Then I stamped the palm trees in Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz inks.

Before adhering all the layers together, I gave it one last look and felt like I need to add a little something else, so I used some Linen Thread, wrapping around twice, and tying it in a small bow.

The inside sentiment is from the Amazing You stamp set, stamped in Pool Party and Sahara Sand ink. I also wanted to tie in the front and inside of the card, so I lightly sponged some Sahara Sand ink along the bottom, using the long thin stamp in Sahara Sand ink, and then stamped the palm trees in Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz inks.
