Card Swap Week!!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Tranquil Textures Suite! One of the many things I love as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being a part of the Stamp It Demo Group and with every new catalog launch we have a card swap! This is a great way to share creativity and inspiration and pass it along to you, our customers! So, this week I am sharing with you the 3 card designs I sent in and the card designs I get back! **How it works for this swap, for each design I make 11 cards and will get back 10 different cards in return!! Yes, I sent 33 cards (11 each of 3 designs) and will get back 30!

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

The base layer is from the Tranquil Textures DSP cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The next layer is Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¾”. I used Sponge Brayers with Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy inks:

The fishes are from the Under the Sea Framelits, cutting them on the front and then the back to give them the look of going in two directions. From the Sea of Textures stamp set, the seaweed is stamped in Fresh Fig ink (first and second stamping) and the coral is stamped in Gray Granite ink (first and second stamping):

The octopus is stamped in Smoky Slate ink and then I used a Sponge Dauber with Gray Granite ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the coordinating framelit. The seagrass is cut out in Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide cardstock, layered together, and then I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen along the bottom to adhere the Tranquil Textures Sprinkles:

Part of the octopus is adhered to the top layer and the excess is trimmed off. This piece is then adhered to the base layer:

The base layer is adhered to the card base and then I adhered the seagrass along the bottom corners on the base layer DSP:

This was a really fun card to make, the only tip I would advise is that you cut the seagrass and adhere the sprinkles first and then make the card so that will give the glue time to dry when you card putting the layers together!
