Hello and welcome to a new week and a new theme, the True Gentleman Suite! Let’s face it, we all struggle at one time or another to make a masculine card, so the True Gentleman Suite may be just what you are looking for! This week is just a sampling of what you can make from this suite, I’ll definitely be sharing creativity again in the future! Today’s card is a great way to design two cards with two pieces of the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.
The card base is in Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½’, the base layer is in Chocolate Chip cardstock, cut at 4 x 5 ¼”, and the True Gentleman DSP is cut at 3 ¾” x 5”, which you will want two of each. I chose two different pieces of DSP, lined up each piece in my Stampin’ Trimmer diagonally, and then cut.
On Very Vanilla cardstock, I chose two different sentiments, stamped one in Chocolate Chip ink, and the other in Night of Navy ink. These are both punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch and then use Paper Snips to trim down along each side. Then chose another piece of DSP design and punch out two pieces with the Tailored Tag Punch. When you adhere the sentiment to the DSP, this will give it a layered look.
To finish the card, adhere the two different pieces of DSP to the base layer, then adhere a piece of 5/8” Burlap Ribbon across diagonally, on top of the DSP and base layer, to the corners with enough hanging over to you can snip off the excess. The sentiment will be adhered on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a little bling to one with the Metallic Enamel Shapes and a pop of color to the other with Crushed Curry from the Regals Enamel Shapes.
