Missing you, friend

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun and cheerful card featuring the My Meadow stamp set! I just love the My Meadow stamp set, you can create so many different sceneries and use any sentiments you like! Now that spring is in the air, but we are all spending more time at home, why not create a sweet card to send out to friends and let them know that you are thinking of them and brighten their day? Who doesn’t love some happy mail?? I will first start off by showing you how to create the scenery, which is pretty easy to create!

I first started by cutting out a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the third largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I then used my Stamparatus to stamp the group of tree trunks stamp in Soft Suede ink using the “step technique”, first positioning the stamp on the left side to stamp, moving the plate over two notches, and stamping again (the plate and hinge is at the top). Use the small cluster of leaves stamp to stamp the leaves in Old Olive ink:

I used two of the “fill in” stamps for the ground under the trees and the small cluster of leaves stamp in Granny Apple Green ink. There are two stamps to create the wheel barrel, I used Gray Granite and Poppy Parade inks. Tip-Don’t forget to use your Stampin’ Pierce Mat under the cardstock with photopolymer stamps, this helps you stamp a good image onto the cardstock:

There are two grass blade stamps, I used both of those in Old Olive ink to fill in the ground area and for the larger grass blade stamp, I used the three flower stamp (almost like a tulip) in Poppy Parade ink. The bird stamp was used in Gray Granite ink:

The base layer for this card, is this design from the Peaceful Poppies DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

For the card front, you will need:

1. Your stamped scenery.

2. A 5 ½” piece of Whisper White Flax Ribbon, I used my fingertips/nails to “rough up” the ends of the ribbon.

3. Stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings on Whisper White cardstock in Poppy Parade ink and punch out with the 1” Circle Punch.

4. Use the 1 1/8” Scallop Circle Punch to punch out a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, this will be layered under the sentiment.

The card base is Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”. I adhered the base layer DSP to the card base and then adhered the flax ribbon across the middle, using Tear & Tape:

The scenery is adhered to the DSP using dimensionals, keeping it more to the left side to give room for your sentiment. The layered sentiment piece is also adhered with a dimensional:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the small “fill in” stamp along the bottom in Granny Apple Green ink, the bigger grass blade stamp in Old Olive, and the flowers and sentiment in Poppy Parade ink:

Don’t you love this springtime card? I just love how the Poppy Parade really “pops” with the green! This would also be a great “any occasion” card, you can simply leave off the front and inside sentiments, and stamp a sentiment on the inside for any occasion! If you have the Waterfront and/or the Snow Front stamp set, then you will definitely want this stamp set!

For the engagement

Hello and welcome to my final day featuring Weddings and Anniversaries! Today is a clean and simple engagement card and is a great way to congratulate the happy couple!

The card base is Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.

The base layer is Silver Foil Sheet, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”.

The top layer is another piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”. I used the Large Letters Framelits to cut out the word LOVE:

fullsizeoutput_17e6The two rings are cut out of a scrap piece of Silver Foil sheet using the ¾” and 1” circle punches and I created the diamond using a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and the smallest scalloped Layering Squares, just using the corner of the framelit and then using scissors to round the two top corners. The ring pieces are adhered with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and the diamond is adhered with a Mini Dimensional. This layer is then adhered to the Silver Foil Sheet:

This piece is then adhered to the card base:

The inside sentiment is from the Special Celebrations stamp set, heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder:

This is such a simple, but elegant card that is easy to make! What do you think?
