Sending you Butterfly Wishes

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which feature’s the Butterfly Wishes stamp set from the 2019-2020 catalog and the new In Color Pretty Peacock! This beautiful and distinctive cling stamp set can be found on page 18 in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and it also coordinates with the Butterfly Duet Punch! So, if you love “all things butterfly” then this set is a must on your shopping list! I also wanted to show you how Pretty Peacock “plays well” with others and paired it with Mint Macaron and Gray Granite to create this beautiful and easy card.

To start, your card base is Pretty Peacock cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”, the base layer is Mint Macaron cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and then a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 2” x 5 ¼”:

To create the card front, ink up your Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (formerly known as Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) with your Pretty Peacock ink pad, and emboss the Mint Macaron cardstock base layer. You will stamp the tree branch and butterfly stamp in Gray Granite ink on the Whisper White cardstock, stamp the biggest butterfly stamp in Pretty Peacock ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, punching out with the 2” Circle Punch, and then punching out a layering piece with the 2 ¼” Circle Punch in Pretty Peacock cardstock. You will also need enough Gray Granite Texture Weave Ribbon to tie around the base layer into a knot:

To assemble, adhere the stamped Whisper White cardstock strip to the embossed Mint Macaron base layer, layer and adhere the punched circle pieces together and use dimensionals to adhere on top, and then tie the texture ribbon into a knot along the bottom of the embossed cardstock:

This completed piece is adhered to the Pretty Peacock cardstock card base and then I added some Wink of Stella to the circle layered butterfly:

For the inside, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the same small butterfly from the card front in Gray Granite ink and then stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink:

Quick and easy card, right?? This is a perfect sentiment to use for any celebration! What do you think of Pretty Peacock? I just love this color and if you are wondering how this compares to Tranquil Tide, Tranquil Tide is more of a green and Pretty Peacock is more of a blue when compared side by side. Soft Sea Foam and Mint Macaron are great coordinating colors to pair Pretty Peacock with.
