Simple Special Celebrations Card

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which featuring the Special Celebrations stamp set! Whether you are making a card for an upcoming wedding, or even an anniversary, this quick and easy card will surely mean the world to the recipient! I chose to pair this stamp set with All My Love DSP and Be Mine Stitched Shapes Framelits to show you not only how to use up your DSP, but also to combine products you may not have thought about!

For the card front, start with Lovely Lipstick cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, this design from All My Love DSP, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”, and Vellum cardstock, cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¾”:

You will also use about 4 ¼” of the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, this heart die cut out of Lovely Lipstick cardstock, and a ¾” piece of Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment heat embossed in silver, and then the ends punched with the Banner Triple Punch:

To assemble the card front, I first positioned the Vellum cardstock on the DSP, used blocks to keep in place, and then placed some adhesive in the middle of the ribbon to adhere to the Vellum cardstock:

I then used some liquid glue (or you can use snail) on the back of the Vellum cardstock behind the ribbon, place on the DSP, and then adhere the ends of the ribbon to the back of the DSP:

I then used liquid glue (or if you have the adhesive sheets, place that on the back of the cardstock before cutting with the die) to adhere the die cut heart on top of the ribbon and DSP, place mini dimensionals at the end of the sentiment (this will also help secure the die cut heart to the vellum), and then adhere this completed piece to the Lovely Lipstick cardstock base layer:

This completed card front will be adhered to a Whisper White cardstock card base, cut at 4 ¼” x 11”, and scored at 5 ½”:

For the inside, I cut another piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock at 4” x 5 ¼”, a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 3 ¾” x 5” to layer on top, and then heat embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder. I decided to use the rose die from the set in Lovely Lipstick cardstock and adhered to the bottom corner:

Stunning but easy card to make! You can easily change this DSP up or even “create your own” DSP using the Forever Lovely stamp set to customize your colors! All the products used for this card are carrying over to the new catalog, EXCEPT the All My Love DSP, this is on the retirement list and is only available while supplies last.

Create a fun Valentine’s Day card with lots of layers and textures!

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is an easy and fun Valentine’s with textures and layers! The thought process behind this card started with the Buffalo Check background stamp, which would not be something you might associate with making a Valentine’s Day card. To make this a softer colored card, I chose to use Gray Granite cardstock for the card base and ink for stamping and then for pops of color Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo. I even spritzed some Frost White Shimmer Paint to give this card some added sparkle!

The base layer is 3 ½” x 4 ¾” Blushing Bride cardstock, embossed with the Subtle Dynamic TIEF, and then I spritzed Frost White Shimmer Paint (I filled a Stampin’ Spritzer with Rubbing Alcohol and a few drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint). The next layer is 3 ¼” x 4 ½” Whisper White cardstock and the Buffalo Check background stamp is stamped in Gray Granite ink:

For the front of the card I used the hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, the largest heart is a left over from another card I made from Vellum cardstock, the detailed heart is cut out of Melon Mambo cardstock (I placed a piece of adhesive sheet on the back before cutting out), use the 2ndsmallest elongated heart to cut out Blushing Bride cardstock, then embossing with the Garden Trellis TIEF, and tie a piece of the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon into a small knot:

To assemble the front, use a strong adhesive or liquid glue to adhere the embossed Blushing Bride cardstock to the card base at a slight angle, the cardstock may be a little warped from embossing and spritzing, then adhere the stamped cardstock on top at a slight angle the other direction:

The vellum heart is layered on top of the stamped cardstock, I used a small amount of Snail where the embossed heart will be, adhering the embossed heart with a dimensional, and then taking the adhesive sheet backing off the detailed heart, placing it on top of the vellum heart (this helps adhere the vellum heart in place). The knotted ribbon is adhered with glue dots:

The inside sentiment is from the Forever Lovely stamp set on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, the multiple heart stamp is in Blushing Bride ink, the small hearts are stamped in Gray Granite ink, and the sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo ink:

This is such a quick and easy card to make! Don’t need a Valentine’s Day card, this can easily be used for a wedding, anniversary, or even a birthday card!

All My Love-Anniversary Card

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Forever Lovely Bundle and All My Love Designer Series Paper from the 2019 Occasions Catalog! I was first introduced to the stamp set and dies in Orlando this last November, but until I actually had this set in front of me, I didn’t realize how creative you can be with it! I started out making this card with an anniversary theme in mind, however, the final card is not what I started out with making, lol! But, that’s the life of a crafter and just because what you start out making doesn’t go right, you try again! Have you ever been so excited about a set that you have all these ideas in your mind, but they don’t quite turn out how you envisioned them? When this happens to me, I simply set the unused pieces aside, move on to something else, and then come back at a later date to try again.

For this card, I used Soft Sea Foam for the card base to keep the theme light and bright. Soft Seam Foam is one of the new colors from the Color Revamp I was sooo excited about and just knew I was going to use the heck out of this color, but sadly no. So, when I saw that this was one of the coordinating colors for the All My Love DSP, I was excited to have another DSP to coordinate Soft Sea Foam with!

The card base measures 4 ¼” x 11” and is scored at 5 ½”:

The base layer is from the All My Love DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

The additional items you will need for the card front is the sentiment from the Forever Lovely stamp set stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut out with the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, a piece of the Whisper White Flax Ribbon cut at 4 ¼”, the leaves are cut out of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies, the scalloped circle is the third largest from the Layering Circles Framelits from the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets, and the flowers are from the framelits as well in Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets with a Pearl Basic Jewel in the middle:

To assemble the sentiment, adhere the layered circles together, apply a little bit of adhesive to the back of the circles to adhere the leaves, and then use a glue dot to adhere the foil flower:

Next, adhere the Flax Ribbon across the DSP using Tear & Tape:

The sentiment is adhered with dimensionals and the remaining three flowers are adhered with glue dots:

The base layer is then adhered to the card base:

The inside sentiment is on a piece of 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock, I first stamped the small hearts in Lovely Lipstick ink, then I adhered the flower piece (that was stamped on Whisper White cardstock with the two-step flower stamp in Lovely Lipstick and Soft Sea Foam ink, used the edgelit to cut the top, and then fussy cut the bottom), and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings in Lovely Lipstick ink:

The inside flower piece was actually what I first started creating for this card and when it didn’t work out, I used it on the inside! If you are looking for a versatile stamp that is good not just for Valentine’s Day, but wedding, anniversary, and even birthday, then you should give this set a second thought! I was originally going to order the Meant To Be Bundle because I really wanted the heart framelits (so sad when the Sweet & Sassy Framelits retired!), but then I looked at what I could use the most and ordered the Forever Lovely Bundle instead. Yes, I still ordered the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies because they are simply adorable!!

More than all the stars

Hello and welcome to today’s card, which features the Little Twinkle Bundle! This bundle from the Annual Catalog has been on my shopping list, so when I made my pre-order for the 2018 Holiday Catalog and saw that the Twinkle Builder Punch coordinates with the Spooky Sweets Bundle, well I just had to get both! I just love the sentiments from the Little Twinkle stamp set and since Moon Baby was retired, this made it to my shopping list!! While this is obviously a great set for a baby card, you can actually use it for other occasions: child/grandchild birthday, spouse birthday, wedding, and anniversary. I didn’t order the coordinating Designer Series Paper because I wasn’t sure about it, but now I’ve taken some time to look and get some ideas, it will definitely be on my next order!

To create this card, first start with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock for the base, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_25ff

The next two layers are Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and Night of Navy cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:

fullsizeoutput_2602

For the Night of Navy top layer, I first stamped the single star and heart stamps in Craft Whisper White ink:

fullsizeoutput_2605

For the moon and stars, I used the Twinkle Builder Punch to cut out pieces from a scrap of Silver Foil:

fullsizeoutput_2608

The moon and three bigger stars are adhered with mini dimensionals and everything else I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen. For these small pieces I used the Take Your Pick tool and that was a life saver!!:

I added a little more sparkle with the Rhinestone Basic Jewells and then used some Silver Baker’s Twine to wrap around the bottom three times and tie into a bow:

fullsizeoutput_2611

I then adhered the Night of Navy cardstock to the Whisper White cardstock with dimensionals. This piece is then adhered to the card base with snail adhesive:

The inside sentiment and accent stamps are stamped in Night of Navy ink:

fullsizeoutput_261a

Wasn’t that quick and easy? This is a great example of how this could be a birthday card or even an anniversary card.

The 2018 Holiday Catalog will be live September 5th, so if you would like a complimentary copy please contact me for more details!!

Happy Anniversary

Hello and welcome to another day featuring Weddings and Anniversaries! Today’s card is celebrating an anniversary and I wanted to incorporate Painted with Love DSP, but also making it quick and easy.

The card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 5 ½’ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_17c5

The base layer is Melon Mambo cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_17c8

The next layer is from the Painted with Love DSP cut at 3 ¾” x 5”:

fullsizeoutput_17cb

I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 1 ½” x 5 ½” and used the Banner Triple Punch on one end:

fullsizeoutput_17ce

The sentiment for the front of the card is from the Number of Years stamp set, stamped in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White cardstock. It is then cut out with the 5thlargest oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and I used another piece of the Painted with Love DSP to cut out the 3rdlargest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. Then adhere the two pieces together:

The Painted with Love DSP layer is adhered to the Melon Mambo base layer:

fullsizeoutput_17d7

The Whisper White banner is adhered on top of the DSP and then the sentiment is adhered on top of that with dimensionals:

I used three of the Rich Razzleberry heart shapes from the Brights Enamel Shapes on the banner:

fullsizeoutput_17e3

The inside sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, stamped in Melon Mambo ink and the flowers in Pink Powder ink:

fullsizeoutput_17e0

I just love how this card turned out and it is a great way to use up your Designer Series Paper!

Please contact me if you have any questions about the products used on this or any other project. I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Blessing

Hello and welcome to another day featuring Weddings and Anniversaries! Today’s card I made for an anniversary, trying out the Polished Stone Technique! If this is something you are going to try, I highly recommend wearing gloves as you will get ink all over your fingers!

The card base is Island Indigo cardstock, but at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”:

fullsizeoutput_17ae

The base layer is Sahara Sand cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_17b1

The next layer is Glossy Cardstock, cut at 3 ¾” x 5”. Since I wanted more of a relaxed, beach theme for this card, I chose Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede ink refills to create the sand appearance and Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, and Island Indigo ink refills to create the sky. I also used a cotton ball for each color and some people spritz the cotton ball with Rubbing Alcohol, but I found it made no difference:

fullsizeoutput_179e

Here is what the sand and sky look like, there really is no rhyme or reason, just what you want it to look like. The birds are from the High Tide stamp set, stamped in Archival Black ink:

I used the chair and drink thinlits from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, the drink is in Tempting Turquoise cardstock and the chair is from the Wood Textures DSP Stack:

fullsizeoutput_17ab

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set, heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder on a 1” piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, and the ends are punched out with the Banner Triple Punch:

fullsizeoutput_17b4

I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for the chairs and drinks, here is a picture of how I positioned them:

fullsizeoutput_17b7

The chairs, drinks, and sentiment are adhered to the top layer and I used Stampin’ Dimensionals for the sentiment. This is then adhered to the base layer and then the card base:

The sentiment is from the Number of Years stamp set, heat embossing in Copper Embossing Powder on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”. I used the stamp from High Tide to stamp along the bottom in Sahara Sand ink:

fullsizeoutput_17be

This was my first time with this technique and even though it’s a bit messy, I will definitely try it again! What do you think?

Please contact me if you have any questions about the products used on this or any other project. I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by!
