Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Myths & Magic Suite! This super cute card is very easy to make, a little ink, some heat embossing, and washi tape is all you need! This will be sure to brighten someone’s day, so let’s get started!
The card base is Dapper Denim cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:
The base layer is Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¼”:
The wizard from the Magical Day stamp set is stamped in Memento ink and colored in with Light Smoky Slate, Ivory, Bronze, and Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. The stars are heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder:
I first used the coordinating wizard thinlit so I could mask him before creating the “blue smoke”, then I used the D Clear Block with some Dapper Denim ink and an Aqua Painter to move the ink around the block, and quickly stamped the ink onto the cardstock. To help fill in the spaces that the ink did not color, I used some of the ink from the lid of the Dapper Denim ink pad and the Aqua Painter:
The mask for the wizard is then removed and I added a small Clear Faceted Gem to his hand:
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 1 1/8” x 4” strip and then use the stripe and the stars washi tape from the Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape:
The ends are cut with the Banner Triple Punch and the sentiment is from the Lift Me Up stamp set, stamped in Dapper Denim ink on a 1” strip of Whisper White cardstock, trimmed, and then adhered to the banner:
The base layer is adhered to the card base with Snail and the banner is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals:
For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock, 4” x 5 ¼”, use all three rolls for a strip of each across the bottom, the stars are heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder, and the sentiment, also from the Lift Me Up stamp set, is stamped in Dapper Denim ink:
Now, since I did not stamp my sentiment first, it came out wrong! So I stamped the sentiment again on a 1” strip of Whisper White cardstock, then used the new Trio Punch to round the corners, and adhered with Dimensionals. Problem Solved!:
