To See Far

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the new 2018-2020 In Colors and the Lilypad Lake Bundle! I just love the font used for these sentiments and also wanted to experiment with the wave framelit die. So, when I started creating this card, I thought I would mix in some High Tide stamps!

The card base is Blueberry Bushel cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”

fullsizeoutput_1e23

For the base layer you will need two pieces of Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 5 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_1dfb

On the first piece of Whisper White, stamp both of the lighthouse images in Blueberry Bushel ink and the ground stamp in Sahara Sand ink, from the High Tide stamp set. I used my Stamparatus (available on my online store June 1st!!) to line the stamps up:

fullsizeoutput_1dfe

This image is then fussy cut out of the Whisper White cardstock and then I used the small ground stamp from High Tide to fill in some of the area in Sahara Sand ink:

Use a Sponge Dauber with Sahara Sand ink to finish coloring in the ground area around the lighthouse:

fullsizeoutput_1e07

For the second piece of Whisper White cardstock, use the wave framelit from the Lakeside Framelit Dies twice with the Big Shot. Note: I used the Precision Base Plate to get the cuts completely through, I had some issues with my first piece of cardstock, and used washi tape to keep the framelit in place:

fullsizeoutput_1e0a

I cut a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper to 3 ½” x 4”, but if you don’t have glimmer paper, you can use a piece of cardstock. This is going to be placed behind the waves:

fullsizeoutput_1e0d

Using the leftover Whisper White cardstock from the lighthouse, stamp the sailboat images from Lilypad Lake stamp set twice in Memento ink. I then colored the sailboats in Poppy Parade, Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel inks. They are then cut out using the coordinating framelit:

I used Multipurpose Glue to adhere the Silver Glimmer Paper to the back of the card base and then used Snail to adhere the lighthouse piece to the front:

fullsizeoutput_1e16

To soften this piece, I used a Sponge Dauber and Pool Party ink around the top and sides:

fullsizeoutput_1e19

Use the sun stamp from Lilypad Lake and stamp several times in Pineapple Punch ink. The bird stamp from High Tide is in Blueberry Bushel ink (see my boo-boo? I’ll fix that!):

fullsizeoutput_1e1c

To finish the base layer, I adhered the sailboats with Glue Dots, used the grass stamp from High Tide in Call Me Clover ink, and stamped the sentiment from Lilypad Lake in Blueberry Bushel ink, using the framelit from Lakeside Framelits to cut it out and adhere with Dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_1e20

The base layer is then adhered to the card base with Dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_1e26

The inside sentiment is on Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink. The waves along the bottom are also stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink, I stamped another sailboat in Memento ink, colored it in with Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove inks, cut out with the coordinating framelit, and then adhered with a Mini Dimensional:

I just love combining High Tide and Lilypad Lake together to make this card!! I also really loving the new In Colors! There’s usually one or two that I’m “ho-hum” about, that’s just me, but I really think that because they all coordinate so nicely together and are so vibrant, it makes incorporating them a breeze!

Lift Your Spirits

Hello and welcome to today’s card, featuring the Myths & Magic Suite! This super cute card is very easy to make, a little ink, some heat embossing, and washi tape is all you need! This will be sure to brighten someone’s day, so let’s get started!

The card base is Dapper Denim cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_1c18

The base layer is Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 3 ½” x 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_1c1b

The wizard from the Magical Day stamp set is stamped in Memento ink and colored in with Light Smoky Slate, Ivory, Bronze, and Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. The stars are heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder:

fullsizeoutput_1c21

I first used the coordinating wizard thinlit so I could mask him before creating the “blue smoke”, then I used the D Clear Block with some Dapper Denim ink and an Aqua Painter to move the ink around the block, and quickly stamped the ink onto the cardstock. To help fill in the spaces that the ink did not color, I used some of the ink from the lid of the Dapper Denim ink pad and the Aqua Painter:

fullsizeoutput_1c24

The mask for the wizard is then removed and I added a small Clear Faceted Gem to his hand:

fullsizeoutput_1c27

Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 1 1/8” x 4” strip and then use the stripe and the stars washi tape from the Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape:

fullsizeoutput_1c2a

The ends are cut with the Banner Triple Punch and the sentiment is from the Lift Me Up stamp set, stamped in Dapper Denim ink on a 1” strip of Whisper White cardstock, trimmed, and then adhered to the banner:

fullsizeoutput_1c2d

The base layer is adhered to the card base with Snail and the banner is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals:

fullsizeoutput_1c31

For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock, 4” x 5 ¼”, use all three rolls for a strip of each across the bottom, the stars are heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder, and the sentiment, also from the Lift Me Up stamp set, is stamped in Dapper Denim ink:

fullsizeoutput_1c34

Now, since I did not stamp my sentiment first, it came out wrong! So I stamped the sentiment again on a 1” strip of Whisper White cardstock, then used the new Trio Punch to round the corners, and adhered with Dimensionals. Problem Solved!:

Sunny Day

Hello and welcome to today’s card which features the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set, Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies, and Embossing Paste, using the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks! Now, before I get started showing you how to make this card, I have some creative advice to share: if at first you don’t succeed, try again, and again, and again…For some reason when I was trying to stamp the rainbow using my Stamparatus, it was not working! I would get towards the end and something would happen and I would have to start over! Rather than scrapping the whole project, I started over from the inside and worked my way out when stamping the rainbow. So just remember with multiple step stamping, that if one way does not work for you, try another!

The card base is Tempting Turquoise cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½:

fullsizeoutput_1b87

I placed the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks on the card front and then used some painter’s tape on the edge to secure the mask so it would not move while I was spreading the Embossing Paste:

When done, carefully remove the painters tape and I had a container with warm soapy water nearby for the mask, Silicone Mat, and Palette Knives to soak. The card base was then set aside to dry:

fullsizeoutput_1b90

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3” x 4 ¼”, stamp the rainbow layers in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clove, Blueberry Bushel, and Gorgeous Grape inks:

Then use the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out:

fullsizeoutput_1b99

The sun is stamped in Pineapple Punch ink on Whisper White cardstock, cut out with the coordinating die, and then use the cloud die to cut out two pieces from Tempting Turquoise cardstock and one piece from Whisper White cardstock:

fullsizeoutput_1b9c

The scalloped oval is adhered to the card base with dimensionals and the turquoise clouds are adhered on top with Snail:

fullsizeoutput_1b9f

The sentiment is heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder on the white cloud and then I used dimensionals to adhere the cloud and the sun:

fullsizeoutput_1ba2

I wanted to do something different for the inside sentiment, so I cut ½” x 5 ¼” strips in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, and Gorgeous Grape cardstocks:

fullsizeoutput_1ba5

These are adhered to the inside piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, the sun is stamped in Pineapple Punch ink and the sentiment is stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink:

fullsizeoutput_1ba8

This is what it looks like on the inside, so if this is not enough room for you to write your personal note, you could always cut another piece of Whisper White cardstock and either adhere that to the inside of the card (top or bottom) or to the back of the card:

Here for you

Hello and welcome to today’s card which features the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set and the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies! When I first started creating this card, what I had pictured in my mind did not quite turn out right…so, instead of scrapping everything and starting over, I created this card from what I had started with and I think this turned out so much better!

The idea behind today’s card was for someone that may be having a bad day or a difficult time, and what better way to cheer their spirits than to send a card. I first started out with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and used Sponge Brayers in Gray Granite ink, starting at the top, Smoky Slate ink, towards the bottom, and then embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Then I thought I would create a “cloud outline” with the two cloud framelits from the Rainbow Builder Dies using the new Big Shot Embossing Mats and go from there. Since I didn’t like the results and did not want to start over, I sat down and figured out how to utilize this piece to create the card I wanted:

I used the framelits and cut the clouds to make it look like a stormy day:

I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock and used the Sponge Brayer in Smoky Slate ink for the base layer:

fullsizeoutput_1b6a

I then positioned and adhered the three layers of clouds, using dimensionals for the top layer:

fullsizeoutput_1b6d

Using the lightning bolt framelit, cut out two pieces each from Silver and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Papers:

fullsizeoutput_1b67fullsizeoutput_1b70

I decided to use the sentiments from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. The card front sentiment is heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder and cut out with the cloud framelit from the left over paper that I used to make the clouds:

fullsizeoutput_1b73fullsizeoutput_1b76

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock, cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½”, and scored at 4 ¼”:

fullsizeoutput_1b79

After adhering the base layer to the card base, I added some clear teardrop and circle accents from the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes:

fullsizeoutput_1b7f

The inside sentiment is meant to brighten the receiver’s day, so I used my Stamparatus to stamp the rainbow in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel inks, the sun is in Pineapple Punch ink, the clouds and sentiment are in Balmy Blue ink:

fullsizeoutput_1b7c

Don’t forget, the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set, Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies, and the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes are all on the Retirement List! If you would like to purchase any of these products, simply click on the product list below and you will find them on my Online Store!
