Hello and welcome to today’s card, which is a fun combination of designer series papers, heat embossing, and punches! Can I just say that I love the color combination of Petal Pink and Copper Foil?! This is my first time combining these two colors and I just love how soft and elegant they are together!
The base layer is from the Petal Promenade DSP, cut at 4” x 5 ¼”, and three of the corners are rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch:
From the Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, I used the single 12” x 12” design, starting in the corner, and used my scissors to cut out part of the design. I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to place the glue in certain spots and aligned the corner of the paper with the corner of the DSP that was not rounded:
For the rest of the card front, you will use the leaf stamp from Painted Harvest to heat emboss Copper Embossing Powder on Vellum and Petal Pink cardstock to make two leaves from each and then punch them out with the coordinating Leaf Punch, one of the Pearlized Doilies, the sentiment from Part of My Story is heat embossed in copper on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Story Label Punch, and then you will use the punch again on Copper Foil, cutting it in half to layer underneath the sentiment piece:
After adhering the Story Label Punch pieces together, adhere the leaves to the back with glue dots:
The Pearlized Doily is adhered with the Fine Tip Glue Pen on top of the laser-cut dsp and then the sentiment is adhered with dimensionals:
For the inside, cut a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment from Part of My Story is heat embossed in copper and the full leaf stamp from Painted Harvest is first stamped in Petal Pink ink and then the detailed leaf stamp is heat embossed in copper:
I just love how this card turned out, don’t you?? Lots of layers and lots of textures made easy! It’s time to use up your designer series paper and make those gorgeous cards!!
