Hello and welcome to today’s blog post, which is my final Mother’s Day card featuring the Fresh as a Daisy Suite! I have to say, I was really on the fence about this suite when I ordered it, but definitely not now! I have made three completely different, but lovely, cards right off the bat and I hope you are seeing how versatile the designer series paper is when it comes to colors! I have tried my best to give you a little sampling of the 2023 – 2025 In Colors, but also the new core colors. Since my last two cards had a lot of die-cutting (especially if you are making more than one card), I thought I would keep the die-cutting to a minimum with this slimline card, but it also has a fun inside! Lemon Lolly – this is the yellow you have been looking for! If you were a fan of the In Color Pineapple Punch from a while back, you will like Lemon Lolly. While Lemon Lolly is not as bright as Pineapple Punch, this is a Subtle core color, it is still bright-ish. I love the Boho Blue and Lemon Lolly color combo and adding Garden Green makes this slimline card a perfect springtime Mother’s Day card!
For the card front base layers, cut a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock at 3 ½” x 8 ¼” and this design from the Fresh as a Daisy DSP at 3 ¼” x 8 ¼”:

For the rest of the card front, you will need:
1. Use the largest polygon shaped die (not sure what shape it is, and the hubs said to call it a polygon, lol) from the Nested Essentials Dies to die-cut from Boho Blue Luster Paper and use the small trio daisies stamp heat emboss in white embossing powder.
2. Use the smallest polygon shaped die from the Nested Essentials Dies to die-cut from Garden Green cardstock, use the small leaf stamp to stamp in Garden Green ink, and emboss the die-cut cardstock with the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder.
3. Cut about a 7 ½” piece of the Basic White Herringbone Ribbon.
4. Use the Alphabet a la Mode Dies to die-cut “MOM” from Lemon Lolly cardstock, which you can use the middle of the Lemon Lolly cardstock base layer to die-cut.
5. You will need six (6) Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems, three 3mm and three 4mm, not pictured.

To assemble the card front, adhere the Lemon Lolly die-cut letters to the Garden Green polygon die-cut, adhere this to the Boho Blue polygon die-cut, and then place the six Lemon Lolly solid gems in the daisy centers as shown. The card base is Boho Blue cardstock, cut at 7 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 3 ¾”, adhere the Lemon Lolly cardstock layer to the card front, then adhere the DSP layer to the Lemon Lolly cardstock base layer, adhere the herringbone ribbon to the back of the Boho Blue polygon die-cut, and then adhere this completed piece to the middle of the DSP layer:
For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 3 ½” x 8 ½”, stamp the sentiment from Daffodil Daydreams in Boho Blue, the solid half daisy in Boho Blue, the stem in Garden Green, the center in Lemon Lolly, and stamp the detailed half daisy in Versamark to heat emboss with white embossing powder:

For the coordinating slimline envelope, I used the Smoky Slate envelope in which I stamped the trio daisy stamp in the corners with Smoky Slate ink:

Isn’t this an adorable card?? I just love how the heat embossed daisies on the inside of the card turned out! Even though the Slimline Envelopes retired with the previous annual catalog, I still have two unopened packs of them to use! I also found some on Amazon that are the exact same size as these, so I will keep on making these sized slimline cards! I do have dimensions for a smaller slimline card, so maybe I will change things up with that size!
